  1. Sorry Admin. Thanks for editing, won't happen again. It happened 300m from Turbo Motors, on Langenhoven Street. I take the route that the Mittal (Iscor) guys cycle to work and back on as it is safer and there is more traffic. Seems that is not a deterrent. The petrol attendants just looked up and then went on filling cars. Seems like they just don't care. This is not the first time I have taken this route. Been riding it for some time, and up to now I've only had joy here. But I'll be back, on my GS, with a sjambok. I WILL get these guys! Corrie, I live in the Emerald area. I haven't had any issues as yet, but thanks for the heads up. Seems my MTB will soon be up for sale as I am not willing to ride and not be able to enjoy it. o yes, just FYI, HR spike 151BPM - 173BPM in 30 sec. Normal avg cadence on the MTB is 85, with max so far on 96. Max was 108rpm.
  2. Got klapped with a m**rse stok on the right leg this morning when 2 black ***** tried to hijack me in Vanderbijlpark. So not even your more rural-ish towns are safe. Fortunately I was in the right gear, right speed and had leg warmers on. I also saw the ***** coming so shouted, jumped the pavement and went like hell.
  3. AA, hats off dude. I would've pitched up with some biker buds and trashed his shop. Especially if I was told I knew and I should take a lie detector test. Now, wtf can we trust?? Where and how can I check the authenticity of my baiesukkel. It's not a Pina (me poor, no money)
  4. Good to meet you! Good thing, no. The old people are starting to tire me out. Looking at fashion and not functionality at your age is dangerous NSBB!!!! Now where can I go look for the peechas????
  5. Where can I go look at da peechas?
  6. And the noob LIKES it that way!!
  7. Good fun ride. I remembered why I have such a love/hate relationship with cycling. The rocky climbs was a total mess as most of the people klapped a toon. Before those I sukkeled, big time. After that it all started coming back to me and on the climbs after the rocky ones I felt much better. Happy with my time, and I'm glad this was my first race after 6 years of the bicycle. It was brilliant to see old Hubbers, even though I was informed of my fashion faux-pas. But WTF cares right.
  8. How much climbing though? I don't/can't climb worth shyte at the moment. How much is a temporary license and what is SS timing? Been out of this game too long!
  9. Got Avid Elixr 1's on the bicycle. Rear brakes are noisy, but so what! The dogs skrik so much when they chase after me and I grab a hand full that I actually enjoy the noise.
  10. Agreed!! Unfortunately, as from own experience, the general driving public in SA doesn't give a toss about others on the road.
  11. Double post, EISH
  12. Frail, it takes time! You can't expect changes to be seen in a month. And it's an ongoing process. You can't expect to gooi a few stickers and WHAM.
  13. Agreed, but read what you just said! "I've seen too many people with these stickers on their cars driving like tjops". You've seen the stickers. And you went ballistic. BUT, now you think about the 1.5m and, if human nature persists you might just apply it!
  14. Hey ouman, klim op daai poegie van jou en ry solank huis toe, ek sal jou netnou vang. Die SLIM mense praat hier. Agreed though Dirt-rider, it's a personal choice. I don't ride with a TB sticker on my car, but I've been told on numerous occasions that the cages (sorry, CARS) have seen them and then just checked their mirrors for the extra second.
  15. BB, it's to raise awareness. I agree with the way you see it, but if one motorist takes it in it changes a lot. Look at the Think Bike stickers. Yellow, NASTY, and it can be seen from afar. And I maintain that they have raised some awareness under motorists.
  16. I don't pedal as often anymore, and I don't visit theHub, but this was a huge shock! RIP Burry. Cherise and the rest of the family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

  18. PM me for details.
  19. Slowpoke, I have NO idea what you're trying to say to me or AMZ.
  20. As I learnt from you dear AMZ. From the person who was completely against TB, who was ALWAYS moaning about the marshals, to the biggest convert the moment he got elected to the board of directors. And as for me being anti TB, not at all. Anti the power in charge, YES! And it's comments like this by the Chairman of your board, and the defense thereof by another director, yourself, that makes me wonder.
  21. EISH, not a nice thing to say, especially when coming from the chairman of a road safety campaign! TNT, I can add to the list if you want, but a lot of that was not done by the man himself.
  22. Only when he's not putting on weight.
  23. What about the beer drinking pie chowing fat boy???
  24. Vertel mooi waar hierdie pad is asb!
  25. Mojo, I said this tongue in cheek!
