  1. We have the chance to turn the pages over. We can write what we want to write. We gotta make ends meet before we get much older. We're all someone's daughter. We're all someone's son...
  2. It did! But we knew it was coming and that's also kinda why we wanted to watch it...
  3. I agree to an extent. I still think a Batman vs Superman flick was important. The adversarial relationship between them is an important part of the Justice League. Despite an intriguing start and a few easter eggs BvS was ultimately a disappointment because: 1. Doomsday and Lex Luther deserved more. Way more. 2. Batman's attitude towards Superman was also suddenly replaced with remorse and a new found respect for the dead kryptonian. Which somehow paved the way for the Justice League to be formed. Sigh. I can't say however that I'm not looking forward to the rest of it. I went batshit crazy when spoilers of BvS was released. No pun intended. I'll probably moan over details in the rest of the titles too. Like some pale, beady eyed, overweight, self appointed, comic book film critic. As for good animated titles. Watch 'The Killing Joke' "See, there were these two guys in a lunatic asylum... And one night, one night they decide they don't like living in an asylum any more. They decide they're going to escape! So, like, they get up onto the roof, and there, just across this narrow gap, they see the rooftops of the town, stretching away in the moon light... stretching away to freedom. Now, the first guy, he jumps right across with no problem. But his friend, his friend did not dare make the leap. Y'see... Y'see, he's afraid of falling. So then, the first guy has an idea... He says 'Hey! I have my flashlight with me! I'll shine it across the gap between the buildings. You can walk along the beam and join me!' B-but the second guy just shakes his head. He suh-says... He says 'Wh-what do you think I am? Crazy? You'd turn it off when I was half way across!'"
  4. The DC universe is feeble compared to Marvel. They don't have a full deck of characters to choose from when making on screen adaptations. But the few they do have...are huge. Suicide squad was an opportunity to expand the onscreen universe by integrating some of the lesser known faces with the bigger names. But it came at a cost. Speaking of a full deck. The decision to cast The Joker in this movie was a massive mistake in my opinion. He was never a member of the suicide squad in the comics but that's not even why it was a bad idea. Its hard not to throwback to Heath Ledger here. But damn. That's how massive The Joker is. He is one of if not THE DC super villain. Suicide squad watered him down to the same level of some supporting role side show. Sure, the comic book history between him and Harley Quinn sounds like a recipe for explosive on screen chemistry but it wasn't necessary. Harley didn't need The Joker to shine as a character in that movie. Hell if anything it overshadows her onscreen presence. Its clear that DC is hanging onto some good cards for future use. Darkseid will probably feature in Justice league 2. Which would be super interesting since they've already killed off Superman. But they've also f'd up 2 major characters so far. The Joker and Lex Luther. The two biggest nemeses of Batman and Superman respectively. There's a few things I'd like to see in the DC universe. Harvey Dent as a district attorney and ally to Batman before and how he becomes Two Face the super villain. This is a great time to introduce the Penguin as well by using his ties to the Mafia. Selina Kyle and as the love interest of Bruce Wayne. But sworn enemies when masked as Batman and Catwoman. Bruce is madly inlove with her and after the 2 discover each others identities he struggles to reform her. Which gets even more complicated when she starts killing people. Lobo. A massive DC comics anti hero. Stand alone movie and/or intergrate him once DC goes interstellar with Darseid. Dick Grayson as a child acrobat who has his parents killed and how he becomes Robin. Do justice to the character and give him a standalone movie. It didn't happen this way in the comics but it would make the onscreen universe pretty interesting if Dr. Jonathan Crane was to be the psychiatrist who helps Dick overcome the death of his parents. This relationship gets particularly interesting as Jonathin Crane has some of his own mental issues and eventually becomes the super villain Scarecrow. Sigh. I read too much comics in my day...
  5. Ya its gonna be *** expensive. Is it a double garage?
  6. There is no permanent solution but if you chip off the plaster and apply some dampcrete or dampsure and skim over it once its dry it will reduce the rising moisture for a good 5 years or more. Of course this means doing both sides of the wall for it to be effective.
  7. Its fashion i swear. If we were talking about bombshells cast in series there's only one woman who comes to mind. http://i.huffpost.com/gen/1550347/images/o-SOFIA-VERGARA-facebook.jpg and I don't care what she wears
  8. Not fair. Lucy has this cute Pendleton thing going and Jessica probably has Marc Jacobs on speed dial. I can't choose. But if there's a woman that pulled off wearing both its Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl. http://www.hercampus.com/sites/default/files/2016/02/22/635845119609476085-906068765_59560-gossipgirl-blair-waldorf-leighton-meester-martini-drink-bar.jpg
  9. I kinda lost interest. But still watch it with the wife occasionally. I've gotten over Donna's sassy persona ages ago. She was very enticing to begin with. Now I'm just like. Yeah, you're Donna. I get it. The tiresome, adversarial dialogue is also in every second scene. It always leads into somebody having the last say with some kind of something semi profound punchline which then fades out the scene. The show also plays itself out over and over and over again too. We're in a huge pile of ****. What amazing legal loophole will somebody come up with this time to get us out of it. Phew, that was a good idea Mike. But now we're in much deeper ****. Well done for saving us Harvey. Now we're in more ****. etc. etc. If there's one silver lining it has to be Jessica's wardrobe. That woman can dress.
  10. That's like the best part! You did it with me the last time though. See. You shouldn't ride without me. Although the new stuff is pretty awesome too. Got big love for that drop that leads into all those jumps.
  11. Always a pleasure chatting to the locals there. They get me. Always willing to listen. Ophelia, Beatrice, Charlotte. Thank you. Not everyone sees the wisdom behind your blank stares and all the grass you chew. But I do.
  12. Well I guess it would be nice If I could touch your body I know not everybody Has got a body like you....
  13. It should have read. Just 4 pumps on the cake.

  17. The doe eyed, plain jane, girl next door vs the closes thing to a human incarnation of a Scandinavian demigod? http://cdn.breathecast.com/data/images/full/26078/melissa-benoist.jpg Co-incidentally. CBS's new Supergirl show actually cast Laura (the old Smallville supergirl) as a villain in the new show. Go Figure
  18. I don't know. Anything named mamba gets a from me

  20. Dear Admin. I hereby request that you allow me to like this post several times please. Also, could you get in there and fill us in on whats happening. Sincerely Professor P dot Skollie.
  21. It is. Admittedly though timing was out mid season 2 and it took a back seat in favour of some other shows at the time. Well for me at least. Once dry season hits again I might take it back up. You always go back if its good. For now though there's Mr Robot and Preacher to keep me watching.
  22. The man is perfectly capable of growing a full head of hair. I suppose the relief that comes with finally being able to grow it back makes any role seem good.
  23. Same here. The shows premise was very off putting. You know the type. Hey. Here's a new show. Lets summarize the plot in 5 minutes so we can get on with the first adventure. Rather than letting the story unravel. Smallville unraveled over nearly a decade. I'm not one to pine over moot points when watching on screen adaptations of comic books either. But creators missed a tremendous opportunity to re-imagine this show by filling in the blanks the comics never really touched on. The show already comes across as juvenile. Why not make it purposefully so? Kara Zor-El arrives at earth as a teen. Being Superman's older cousin and sent to earth to protect him. Her pod gets suspended in the phantom zone in space where time doesn't pass. By the time her pod arrives at earth Superman is already 15 years older than her but she doesn't know that. Make the show about her without a white picket foster family. Put her on the streets. A teen learning about this new world while she tries to find the cousin she was suppose to protect. Not knowing who he is and who he has become. The show instead opts for Superman to set her up with a foster home while she struggles to hide her powers because she feels earth doesn't need another hero. What a **** decision for a show premise. Jeez why don't they let me write and cast this stuff.
  24. He did this last year. http://www.gstatic.com/tv/thumb/tvbanners/12899927/p12899927_b_v8_aa.jpg Such a shame too. I loved Smallville. The way the show cultivated a complicated 'friendship' between him and Clark Kent. Can't imagine him as anyone but Lex. Despite how well he played the role. He has always been cast in seemingly b grade block busters when he is capable of so much more. Then there was Laura Vandervoort She played this role superbly. While Melissa Benoist in the new CBS version of Supergirl is just plain rubbish http://www.gstatic.com/tv/thumb/tvbanners/11779472/p11779472_b_v8_ab.jpg
  25. I agree. Eisenberg painted Lex as some neurotic extrovert. Which Lex is anything but. The real Lex doesnt wear his eccentricity on his sleeve. His suave and candid. Many comic book villains often portray unrealistic aspirations. Where what they wish to achieve far outweigh what they are truly capable of. Not Lex. His cold and calculating. Patient and he perseveres. Its this signature thought process he has that makes readers realise how mad he really is...and dangerous. I think this laaitie would have made a brilliant Lex Luther instead http://www.awardsdaily.com/tv/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/rami-malek.jpg
