  1. I actually hummed the Avengers theme by mistake when they asked to hum the Star Wars theme. I think the clips title lead me to believe thats what they would ask, After they hummed star wars I was like. Oh Sorry, I thought you said Avengers.
  2. She doesn't seem impressed. I think she'll be happier on the trance. They are wreckless at that age. My daughter, 4, is already getting 'aero' on her JDbug. Meneertjie. At almost 2, likes ramps and declines on his plastic bike so he doesn't have to use his legs to scoot along. Many times I see him wobble down the drive way with one rear wheel in the air if he takes a bend. Took a few tumbles. Bumps and bruises. Snot and traane. But now I see his recovery is good. He puts a foot out for balance and quickly stomps to bring the bike back upright. He also puts both feet on the front wheel to brake. Lunatics.
  3. I've been using the giant pedals with circa skate shoes on my jump bike. I clip in on my trail bike. I can't complain about grip. They work well. But the pins chow through all my shoes. The circa's seem to last longer though. I've never owned a pair of proper flat riding shoes. 5tens are too expensive for someone like me who predominantly rides clipped in. I understand the grub vs bolts after reading this. But I have to ask. Are the pins on the pedal a personal compromise between how well it grips and how much it eats into your shoes? Or is grip a sure thing as long as its pinned and if you don't want your shoes chomped you should get 5tens. I say a friends 5ten soles who were pretty chewed up so. Just wondering. Pedals are the last thing I need for the bike I'm building...
  4. Saturday night burger bun mission Was gonna gooi to spar then I saw the bar I completely forgot about collecting the previous day.
  5. http://i.imgur.com/HkvMDKL.jpg Never was a fan of the name. Always sounded so 90s. Like dude or cowabunga. But they make some nice parts and their service is top notch. I'll definitely buy from them again.
  6. Its not just the pics. I'm a little disappointed. I'm sure there's more to come though.

  9. http://i.imgur.com/IOLoWXO.jpg Scored some lekker pre-loved parts from the Bikehub buffet. Bike restoration nearly complete... Just need some pedals
  10. You're going to have to elaborate here. Any pics of the process and parts? Who did it for you? You can't exactly drop a line like that without some show and tell.

  12. There are 12 episodes in the second season. I think 2 of them are still to be aired. The shows ratings have dropped significantly compared to season 1. I predict that the show would be cancelled. I think its worth seeing it through.
  13. Season 2 crawled from the start and I lost interest. But binged through the last few episodes last week and now I can't wait for the rest of it. Stretch. You should watch episode 7 again. Ironically, its at the end of this episode where things start getting interesting. All the focus on his psychosis and how its used in the show to drag out the storytelling finally plays itself out at the end of this episode. Can't really say much more without spoilers. But its another 'We're not in Kansas anymore' realization.
  14. You know what I smaak for. A day trip down to Paternoster. We can braai crayfish all day.
  15. Yellowtail and snoek are more or less the same. Once I fillet it (head and tail off but leave the spine and skin. I will leave it in the fridge with some lemon and rosemary. The cold firms up the fish to make it easier to braai. Then its down to a well oiled grill and a watchful eye.
  16. You're taking me way back now. In my final year of study I made a visual dictionary for South African slang as a final project to go with my thesis. I had a single copy of the book printed. But due to a crashed hard drive. Most of the data was lost. I still have a few pages on file though. Some of which were published in graphic design magazines. Always intended to revice the project and actually get the full book published. Was never motivated enough to do all the work again though. Here are a few pages. http://i.imgur.com/EOj4Ex2.jpg http://i.imgur.com/IkgZrXj.jpg http://i.imgur.com/BhgGwXs.jpg http://i.imgur.com/kqorppG.jpg http://i.imgur.com/SS5J2pv.jpg
  17. Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris. My expectations are pretty high.

  19. From Pinkbike 29th September 2016 SRAM Guide Ultimate Compared to Shimano XTR M9020 SRAM and Shimano are the current leaders of the pack when it comes to hydraulic disc brakes, and the performance gap between the two companies top offerings is smaller than ever – it's more of a matter of personal preference, like choosing between chocolate or strawberry ice cream, rather than one drastically outperforming the other. Since the Guide Ultimates are SRAM's top of the line trail brakes, it's worth taking a moment to compare them to Shimano's XTR Trail brakes. Weight: SRAM has an ever-so-slight edge here, with a front Guide Ultimate brake weighing in at 240 grams, versus 250 grams for the XTR Trail brake. Those are the actual weights of a front caliper, lever, brake line, and pads. Price: Guide Ultimate: $288 USD per wheel. XTR M9020: $299 USD per wheel. Aesthetics: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I'm going to give this one to Shimano. The sleek, low profile design of the latest XTR trail brakes simply looks more polished and refined than the Guide Ultimate brakes. Power: Even though the XTR Trail brakes only have two pistons compared to the Guide's four, they feel a touch more powerful - it takes less pressure at the lever to lock up the rear wheel. Modulation: The Guide Ultimates have a slight edge when it comes to modulation – the XTR Trail's power comes on a little earlier in the stroke, while on the Guides there's more room to feather the brakes and apply just the right amount of pressure to the caliper. Both brakes deliver plenty of usable, easily controllable power, but the Guide brakes have the edge by a narrow margin. Consistency: Overall, the set of Guide Ultimate brakes used for this review ended up having a more consistent feel than Shimano's XTR Trail brakes. The last few sets of XTR brakes I've been on have been finicky when it comes to getting the lever to feel the same every time it's pulled, even after being bled several times. The point at where the lever stops moving, the moment it hits the pad, seemed like more of a moving target with the XTR brakes, while on the Ultimates, other than the need to bleed them one time early on in the test period, the lever felt exactly the same every time I grabbed it. * Note: Keep in mind that this comparison is solely between the Guide Ultimate and XTR Trail brakes – I'm currently evaluating a set of the XT M8000 brakes, and so far they've exhibited a much more consistent feel than their more expensive sibling.
  20. Ooh...Looks like another club banger. They better hang on when they throw this thing on. Get a little drink on they gonna flip for this Akon ****. You can bank on it. Pedicure, manicure kitty-cat claws. The way she climbs up and down them poles Looking like one of them putty-cat dolls. Trying to hold my woodie back through my draws.
  21. https://youtu.be/HSzx-zryEgM Looking forward to this one. I have never been interested in Dr Strange so never read any of the comics. Always seemed too Hogwarts for my liking. But Derrickson is an interesting choice for director. Looks like some of his creepy vibes are rubbing off and deservedly so. Dr Strange could do with a bit of dark undertones.
  22. Why McGinty though? He has no experience in these types of movies. This is sacred dammit. Vaughn and Whedon would probably make it a little too arcade for my liking. At least its not Michael Bay. I personally think Christopher Nolan would have killed this.
