  1. I say the country needs to get their priorities right hey
  2. Just loved that newspaper headline today Chuene en die knater gemors - or something to that effect So I guess it's no longer Caster Semenya, but Knater Semenya How's ASA today - she is now receiving trauma councilling - if they didn't f@#$%k it up from the start it wouldn't be necessary. And then they still have the audacity to attack IAAF for the way they handled this joke?!!!!
  3. or two?
  4. Wondering big time whether Malema and co will be at OR Tambo tmrw afternoon to welcome back the Boks team? Any wagers? I think they will, just to prove for once and for all that they are well balanced fair SA citizens who will go out of their way to show support for their beloved country, no matter who or what.
  5. So much was said after the Carousel about safety and road surface etc. Would like to get an opinion on D2D and the safety and condition of the roads. Personally I have never seen so many waterbottles being lost due to the poor surface as today, also saw and heard of many more accidents than in Carousel. Anyone else?
  6. If I may lay my egg here - yes, Speed, you will have to wait your turn. Its the way it works. Mega frustrating, but yes it is the most fair system which treats everyone equal. I started the year in the Fast One Bunch E, because I only had 94.7 result of 08. After 7 months starting from A. Worth the wait, but def not a pleasure.
  7. I'll be riding it. My 3rd 1990, 2009 Boyes was fine, makes it interesting and a fair challenge. If you can stick with the bunch there, you deserve to be in their midst .....Trubie2009-09-09 05:50:07
  8. I am happy its been updated Unhappy that it takes such a looooooong time to get this whole seeding this sorted. Been at it for 8 months now, and still sitting at 18. whatever At least I can say I have progressed from "E" at the Fast 1, to "A" in last 2 races. Fact that there is still 340+, 40-44yrs old in front of me, irks me big time. Hopefully after Carousel and LC has been added, it will only be 200+. Getting your seeding sorted is more hard work than most races
  9. http://www.cyclelab.co.za/seeding.asp should find all the answers here
  10. you cannot be serious if it took them from march till now to include Argus, May till now for Bela Bela? Carousel & Lost City will be included soon
  11. How is this seeding just turning into a bigger and bigger mess? I had a seeding of 24.6 in march, 23.5 in april, 21.9 in june, and now a 26.5 or something silly. Fact is I have improved vastly, but not according to them......... when will they get it right?
  12. Last update was on 14 June. I received this mail from them on 5 Aug, when I enquired about the update iro Bela Bela results. Dont want to slant them, they have helped me quite a bit last couple weeks, to change entries etc, so this is by no means aimed at discrediting them. So, I can only imagine its some serious hold up caused by something. But Its now ridiculous, and they say they wait for results from Timing co's when you question them, and don't forget its a free service, so we have to actually be thankful. From: edited Sent: 05 August 2009 01:56 PM To: Paul Nothnagel Subject: RE: Seeding update<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Has just been received and cleared should go up in the next few days Kind Regards
  13. I suppose the answer lies in the fact that it depends on who it is riding the bike? remember its not about the bike - LA The advantage of a soft tail will be negated if a slow/less strong rider uses it see it on the road everyday
  14. Just ignore the threat. How can he get you disqualified? Idiot if u you ask me. A shame it has to be someone from CL, but hey we cant all be nice hey If what you say is true, he should also be disqualified for not wearing his number. He obviuosly never crosses the line, cause he doesnt do a thing in the bunch. They cannot dq, and not all the other 1000's who did the same today. I reckon in the bunch I was riding in, everyone at some stage crossed the line, so commissaire nightmare then!!
  15. I have sent you an email
  16. Max, I have no idea. Have taken it up to 193 in a sprint finish before and thought I was going to die afterwards. So probably just under 200. all things being equal, a fit female HR would be 6-10 beats faster than a male counterpart - dont ask me why inactive/unfit, male would be slightly 1/2 beats higher with WW being 21, her max is probably 200+
  17. I am currently on a programme where I need to in some weeks do spend between 30 and 50 min in the Anaerobic (Lactate Threshold Zone), so its possible Vomiting stuff, but possible yes as for your max, get it tested and you'll be 100% sure of what you are doing and how hard you actually working
  18. thanks for the heads up
  19. cool I wanna try it out some time
  20. My Polar 725x does the same. But how do you know its wrong. I use a Topeak together with my Polar, on comparison the Topeak - which I believe to be correct - but don't know it for a fact, gives a slightly diff reading. Ie I rode in SBR on Sat, the Topeak gave me 58.17 vs the Polar that read 57.3. About 1.5% diff. Agree with JL that 5-6% is a bit steep to swallow, so maybe you have a battery problem. Take it in to IHF in Midrand to check it out for you.
