  1. With a Pi 1, not a chance, you'd kill it in a hearbeat. With a Pi 2, yep pretty sure you could do that, by default it does SMB sharing and you get Kodi clients for iPad etc. So that's the easy part, for downloading I'd recommend Sonar and SABNZBD+, both of which are linux based and should run great on it, worst case it's R800 or so to try and the worst you will be able to get is a great media player. The part I love most about the Pi. If your TV supports CEC you can use your TV remote to control the PI. One remote for everything.
  2. Yup loved it as well. Just a great movie. Best fighting scenes in forever.
  3. Yup it's cancelled.
  4. I liked forever a lot as well. But they aired it 10pm on a Friday in the US, never had a chance.
  5. For everybody who is like me and don't want to get to invest in shows cancelled quickly here is the latest list of whats coming back and what got cancelled: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/05/08/canceled-renewed-tv-shows_n_7225116.html
  6. Ray Donovan is back 12 July. Homeland should return around September October.
  7. If the spoilers the show then you nailed it ROFL. Got officially cancelled. But yeah was a decent show so far.
  8. Yup absolutely agree. Winter soldier was, for me, the best movie I saw last year so hoping the same rings true for Civil war.
  9. The 970 is a good rack, but a bit pricey for what it is. If the final goal is to get a platform rack why not try the autostyle one in the meantime? Looks sturdy and pretty usable for the price. http://www.autostyle.co.za/gps-electronics-detectors/cycling-equipment/3-carrier-bike-rack.html
  10. On special at takealot for R2199. just search for carry chef. I can also recommend the safari chef. Uses 500g cylinders and is on special for R799 at take a lot. Great for camping too.

  12. Hmmm good to know. I'll still take the less than $50 Rasberry Pi 2 option though.
  13. Eish meant to respond to your post and forgot. The PS4 can only stream from netflix etc. Which makes it a crappy media server.
  14. SRAM fanboy located..... They may be late but it's much more cost effective. Why does everything have to be X is bad because Y is better. They both have their advantages and disadvantages.
  15. IIRC trains are diesel electric so can produce their own power on board as well
  16. Oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh
  17. Ermmm, I think you mean SABNZBD, ok so first: https://www.binaries4all.com/nzb/ That explains how NZB works. SABNZBD is a client side piece of software for downloading files from newshost servers. The advantage of newshost downloading over torrents is the closed nature of it as well as the longer file retention. To download from newsgroups there are a couple of things needed: 1.) The client, SABNZBD is the most popular 2.) A usenet server account, some ISP's have public newshost servers but these are speed restricted a lot of the time so a paid one is better. http://www.astraweb.com/ works out to about R75 per month for unlimited downloads. 3.) A usenet indexer, this actually hosts the files pointing to downloads. For best results at least 2 are needed, there are public ones available but they generally don't have API access (more on this later). Two good ones for SA are https://nzbgeek.info/index.php and https://www.oznzb.com/. There are local services as well but these are invite only, so these are good options. 4.) Now you have everything you need to start downloading, but what to download, and why manually? This is where Sonarr comes in https://sonarr.tv/. Sonarr manages a tv show library (Of completely legal and free public domain documentaries of course) and will automaticall search an indexer for a file, using the API's, send it to SABNZBD to download, redownload or search for another one if it fails, then rename the file, move it to the correct TV show folder and update the database. You can also just add the name of perfectly legal free new documentaries and Sonarr will search for and download them. As for sport, I see there is some uploaded, so yes you should be able to get these as well. Hope this answers the question and here is a guide below. http://trendblog.net/install-sonarr-and-nzbget-for-total-tv-show-automation/ DISCLAIMER: Once again this is all about downloading completely legal and free items and should not be used for any copyrighted content.
  18. I see all the bond comments. For everybody who hasn't Kingsmen: The Secret service is worth a watch. The ending is absolutely ludicrous but it is a great fil with the best fighting scenes I have seen in ages. Also, Roger Moore Bond is best bond
  19. They are all very good. Just have to be in the right frame of mind and not take them too seriously. Fun actions movies are to scarce these days.
  20. Not necessarily. Afrihost business is completely unshaped and uncapped at all times. It's R797 for a 4Mb account and line rental included. As for the rest, look into Sonarr and SABNZBD and thank me later
  21. Maybe it's because it was too much like real life for me, but just didn't grab me at all. I can recommend The Theory of Everything, amazing movie and such a good performance by the star.
  22. Sounds like me and Boyhood. Haven't been that bored in a long long time. I'll remember to give Noah a miss.
  23. Of those to the Sola 4. My girlfriend has the XCR air on her bike, while not as good as a pure air fork it's not a pogo stick and is actually usable. Also it seems most of the rims on the new Silverback range are tubeless ready, which is a nice bonus. Oh and I'm on my second Silverback and bought my girlfriend one. Love them.
  24. +1 from me. And it works a treat on doorlocks and padlocks too.
  25. +1, was thinking this morning that I need to get the ebook version. Read it many moons ago. Shocking but very good. http://www.kalahari.com/eBooks/Triomf-eBook_p_44868234
