  1. Episode 8 and 9 were amazing for me. The strain is really a nice different show and good prospects so let's see. Anybody watching the new Doctor Who? Loving the new doctor.
  2. I'm going to go with David as well. To bend a hub.......well sho. You MOST likely, have a 9mm quick release rear hub. If it's got a smallish axle that clamps on the sides then it is QR. Check if the QR is not perhaps bent
  3. Literally criminal. Cant find where to report it. This should not happen
  4. That would be a moer of a design flaw!
  5. Between 8k to 12k would be my guess. Depending on condition and what the buyer would pay.
  6. So much this, guy in front of me on the silverstar race got one huuuuuuuge sidewall cut, about 15cm, this was about 5km from the end with no marshalls or anything close by. Yanked you the duct tape(equivalent hehe) patched and taped over the rim for him, he rode it to the finish.
  7. Agreed, would love to hear Momsen's side of the story. I will probably still be looking for a bike for the GF later this year, rather not going to consider Momsen.

Nee moer! That is taking a fat chance, then I understand your irritation. For tools parktools are the best quality, but below is a thread for some homemade tools, and I also managed to find some nice cheaper alternatives at like 70% of the quality at my LBS and Sportsmans Warehouse (Fourways, best selection) http://www.thehubsa....diy-bike-tools/

To play devils advocate. Headset, decent price for something quite complex, Chainbolts, yes expensive, how often do they sell them? Grips, ESI chunky's are R200 odd at a lot of places, get thos work perfectly, adapter, once again low movement item. Doubt you would get those much cheaper anywhere but Rouxtjie's post has you covered.
  12. I think he did get a new bike from one of the witnesses. I hope these two little wordicantuse idiots get caught.
  13. I have to second this from my experience this weekend on the Silverstar race. On the rocky descents the extra 120mm travel up front and bit in the back on my Sprada helped a lot in keeping speed up and even passing a few people off line in single track, but it's still about 13Kg with a dropper post so light enough to not be a tank. Trail bikes make sense for me in Gauteng if you are only going to have one bike for everything and want to try everything. (Disclaimer: Within reason, mileage my vary, all opinions expressed are IMO and should be taken as such. Batteries not included )
  14. Then either the rotor's still bent or you had the same thing I had. Instead of centering by pulling the brake, try centering manually by hand tighten one bolt, center other by hand and tighten, worked on a brake that I could not get to stop rubbing.
  15. It's brakes....if they break thats wrong sir. Sorry pet peeve along with loosing.
  16. SLX brakes with 180mm and 160mm ICE-Tech rotors and pads. Felt spongy at first, bedded them in a bit, now they'll send me over the bars and stop my heart if I'm not carefull. And Maxiss Ardent up front, but that's secondary.
  17. Haven't used the Flows, but my Arch EX's feel plenty strong enough and I'm still 95 Kg, and they are decently light. So good enough for me. Unless you're hucking like its hot
  18. Because Cycle Science are playing the it's everybody's fault but ours card. They could have resolved this all a long time ago.
  19. I prefer the term kitten. Bit of a .......
  20. She is going to be a beauty. And the name is perfect!
  21. Love my Sprada 1. Amazing ride, great price and great components. Go ride both. My 2c
  22. EFT's as such no. But the old cheque deposit, fake POP, cheque bounce is still around a lot. For payments from an FNB account, there is a verification page on the main FNB page to ensure that the payment is genuine.
  23. That's a very good deal, worth it. I swear by the Joe's kit for non tubeless rims, depending on your tyres you could convert. I've converted non tubeless Racing Ralphs that are by all accounts holier than a pack of nuns without one issue. The advantages are nice so my advice would be go for it.
  24. As per the regulations the white line may be crossed to pass cyclists riding single file to give them at least 1m space. Provided no oncoming traffic of course. But hey this dead horse has been flogged, time to let it rest.
