  1. Gonna sound like a broken record again. Momsens are awesome, also the Silverback Sola 1 or 2 depending on discount. Great bang for buck. As an example: http://www.vbike.co.za/silverback-sola-1-2014/ http://www.vbike.co.za/silverback-sola-2-2014/
  2. Yup seconded, it's very understated. And a lot smoother to me than Milk Stout. Definitely worth a drink or two.
  3. 3L is a lot. Most I generally drink from the pack is 2.5L over 4 hours, plain water. Then usually have one 750ml something else(Rehidrat or USN Energy). 2L should be fine. Looks like a nice pack too. The magic looks like a female version of the Lobo, Lobo does have a bit more space and the nice pads for better airflow, but filled to 3L it is pretty heavy. It does offload nicely to hips though. My advice. Have her try both and see which she prefers.
  4. Bud......you missed something somewhere. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/139736-do-you-know-what-you-are-covered-for-cyclesure/page__hl__cyclesure?do=findComment&comment=2311370 Cyclesure are public enemy number.......something on here. I lose track when it changes weekly lol.
  5. There is no truer saying than: "You are only as good as your last stuff up." Screw ups and problems happen, how it's handled always make the difference, case in point the Hulkcrowave from yesterday.
  6. The problem is in this case the ratchets are like laces. So sort of a wear and tear item. So your hiking shoe analogy doesn't 100% work. Like you said, school fees. Although in this case the problem might be more LG's warranty conditions rather than the bike shop. IF they took the time to take it up with the suppliers, if they didn't then they don't want your money I suppose. So you were right to move on.
  7. Yup, Castle Lites's are the only beers I can have 6 on the trot if I want. Related, bought Stella Artois for the first time yesterday, nice stuff.
  8. Seems cycle lab has 9 in stock if these are right? http://cyclelab.com/accessories/bike-essentials/tyres-and-tubes-en/vittoria-zaffiro-700x23c-road-tyre-white.html
  9. Eish not cool. My girlfriend stays in the area so I'll keep an eye out.
  10. Personally I tend to drink Heineken or castle light. Kilkenny if I'm craving it. Craft beers are nice but what everyone said, gone hipster. Imported german beers rock.....I so miss Armourers in Boksburg.
  11. Pedal float is higher on the shimanos than crank brothers. That might be what you are feeling as well. Might just need to get used to it.
  12. Maybe post a pic....can't see how that would happen so quickly.
  13. Nice helmet.....and love the wine collection hehe
  14. People be like: http://cdn.someecards.com/someecards/usercards/cdbc47b35de044d5ea37d87f90201ea53b.png
  15. I couldn't find any 5W40 fully synthetics, went with a semi synthetic Diesel oil(Shell or Havoline, me forgot) works like a charm, fork has been fine for 1500km.
  16. I think were doing it wrong, 1x10/11 and SS are now to mainstream, 3x1 is the future!!!
  17. Bwahahaha. It's in the rules.......but seriously, it's personal preference. As long as the saddlebag is matched to the bike and doesn't look horriblke it's fine. Keeping tools in a bag is definitely helpfull, IF they aren't rattling around etc etc. At the end of the day it's the same as with camelbacks, some like em some don't. I love mine because I lag half a workshop and a pharmacy along.

  19. So I guess you had to.........hump around her
  20. Yup saw that as well, there is also the new Anthem SX which also seems to fit in between the Normal Anthem and the Trance. 120mm travel, but a bit more expensive. http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/bikes/model/anthem.sx.27.5/18755/76189/#specifications
  21. So it seems the Giant 2015 lineup is now on the website, some interisting changes, and as predicted heavily invested in 27.5(NO WHEELSIZE DEBATES! ): http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/bike-finder/men/offroad/?level=all One of the highlights for me $1500 for a full suspension bike with not bad components, the new Stance: http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/bikes/model/stance.27.5.2/18767/76215/#specifications http://www.giant-bicycles.com/_generated/_generated_us/bikes/models/images/800/2015/Stance-27-5-2-Black-Cyan.jpg Also, anybody looking for the black on black Trance 27.5 2 should grab one now, new color scheme seems to be on the way: http://www.giant-bicycles.com/_generated/_generated_us/bikes/models/images/800/2015/Trance-27-5-2-Black.jpg
  22. Eh....I had a 50/50 chance. Love the Venge hehe
