Hey all, The couple that got knocked off the tandem are membes at my shul. He is a great guy, and an excellent cyclist. Always encouraging me to take up cycling and join a club etc. As far as their injuries go, they are not so serious ie no serious broken bones and all that kinda stuff. They do however have cosmetic injuries, alot of scratches and scrapes especially on his face. They will PG make a full recovery! As for the fool in the hyundai......well circles are round.

Good afternoon to all, Myself and a few mates are going to be doing our first Triathlon at the end of October. Its part of the BsG series and includes a 600m swim, a 20km ride and a 5km run. Not exactly the ironman, but I still think I should train for it. Does anyone have or know of a place where I can get a really basic programme?? Any help in this regard will be appreciated, even if its got to do with race day etc. Cheers

Not sure if you've done any reasearce but there is a term for it called handlebar paulsy. Basically its from nerve compression in you hand when resting on the grips. So you have tried bar end??? You get these grips called ergo grips or something like that. Basically the grip is not 100% cylindrical but flattens out toward the end of the grip, and provides more surface area to rest your hands on. Those plus bar ends should sort u out. Remember to change your hand position as often as possible.

The mavic shoes are apparently salomon shoes with a mavic logo on them. I bought the entry level shimano's for 900 bucks a while back and they are fantastic. Also easy to walk in for those portage sections. I to have wide feet, and these have been fine. my 2 cents

Thanks parabola. I did exactly what u recomended without even seeing ur post first!! Stripped and cleaned out the whole thing. Never had silicone spray but used Q20 which should do the job. I have a double bolt x mission and its not much better, maybe i should get something better?? Anyways rode around the garden and its all gone!!! Now i must just pay extra attention to that area when cleaning after riding!!!

So how did you fix it???? I weigh 90kg's so im roughly the same. Do i need to go on a diet??? hahaha

Dont have another saddle unfortunately Im assuming theres no way to take a seat apart???

DaveT I have a selle italia and im of the same opinon. I also thinks its coming from there!! Tried to get some q20 in there but no luck as of yet. Gave it a good cleaning and greasing last night but still no luck. Maybe a new seat post???

Its so irritating. By the sounds of it you've also had no luck. Have u replaced the seat post??

Hi all, I have a hardtail MTB. My seat/seat post creaks every time I go over some bumps (pretty much most of the time) and its darn irritating. Any suggestions?? Ive given it a serious clean and sprayed some lube into all the little crevices. Its an X mission seat post and does'nt appear to be ne piece. There is like a head piece which fits into the post. Maybe its that?? Any suggestions would be great. Not in the mood for spending cash on a new one. Cheers

It could backfire though, coz if u by urself (which u should'nt be), he'll chase ur @ss down and panga u!!! risk & reward???? or you could chase his @ss down the road and panga him. but what if there are two of them??? geeees the trials and tribulations of being a south african gotta love em.

And what type of warranty will the bike come with??? They look awesome, and appears as if you can make up a great softail for under 25k, which if you compare it to whats out there is very competitive. Do you have a showroom yet, are you planning to get one??? I think those blokes at YETI need some competition and these are perfect.

Are you going to sell them with build kits as well??? or just the frames?? If so how much are the build kits?? BTW awesome looking bikes

Hi All. So while riding today, my chain started shifting all over the show on its own. After an inpsection i noticed that one link was almost out, and the little plate on the side was slightly bent. Not having any tools with me (dumb@ss) i decided to call for a lift. When i got home i noticed that the link that had ''popped'' looked different to all the others in that it was abit thick. I managed to get it out with a tool, and thought Id put on a quick link and salvage the chain. Anyways I tried to remove the entire link, and to my delight I realised that the other links dont come out!! Sonow the chain is basically stuffed (It was a shimano by the way) SO.... are there any recommendations for which MTB chain to get?? I have an Xt groupset and i think the cassette may be SLX. It was standard on the bike so not 100% sure. Also someone told me that ill probably have to replace the cassette as the old chain and casette are kinda married, and if i try a new chain it'll just slip all over the place. Any advice in this regard would be appreciated.!!

sweet thanks for the help. there seems to be alot of people on favour of rudy project. They do seem to be better value than Oakley's. Photochromic oakley's are alomst 3k, thats neraly twice the price. Proof is always in the pudding!!

k cool, sounds pretty good. Do the clear lenses go dark enough?? or do i need another set of lenses as well??

mackiemoo, what colour are those lenses that go from perfectly clear to 75% shaded????

looks like i better take a look at the rudy's. Im just biased toward oakley coz i wear them normally and they are fantastic. I like the idea of an indestructable lens, especially for MTB
