  1. So Im new to this world of dual sus, as well as an air fork upfront. Im looking for some pointers on what pressures to run both back and front. I have a fox shock pump, which seems to do the trick. Im just not sure if Im running the correct pressures. I weigh 90kg's if that helps. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  2. You are correct. That is the problem up here. So im gonna go somewhere where there are less camps like diepsloot, and hopefully ride in peace. The solution is to not ride near them, but diepsloot is freakin massive, and no matter how much u try avoid it when riding that part of the world, its pretty much impossible.
  3. Probably would have bought it before then Hopefully even by the time the weekend ends. Know of any jobs for newly qualified CA's? Need to start looking now.???????
  4. This is all helping with my decision to move capewards next year. I rode alone every day while in Plett and never once felt unsafe. Its just up here that there is this k@k. Sure it happens elsewhere, but now its become a weekly fixture.
  5. Hey PTA boys. Im working in PTA for the next 2 weeks in sunnyside and would love to organise a ride at GRoenies. Do you guys ride there before/after work??
  6. I think they are great bikes. A few issues for me though 1. No stock at the moment 2. When spending so much money, Im inclined to go for the popular choice, in that I mean not magura and not the in house shock. However, they are fantastic bikes, they really just dont have my size!
  7. phoned the guys at rush sports. Seemed pretty helpfull. Im still waiting for my email with specs though!! I will test drive a morewood this weekend, and if all goes well take it home with me Those morewoods are gorgeous machines, always thought so, and they proudly RSA.
  8. zula seems to be winning it for me
  9. Where can I get a price on a morewood zula frame?

  14. morning all, So I've been riding MTB for over a year now and road for a few months. Im 26 so I work out that I should have a max HR of 194. However when Im training or racing I cant seem to get past 175/180 and at those levels I feel like Im going full out. My resting heart rate is about 52 - 60 on any given day, and Im not overweight. Does anyone have any ideas??? Thank u
  15. does anyone know who took the pic of us meer mortals?
  16. At the end of the day we all a bunch a rookies anyway? Buy the lightest that you can afford, and that makes sense given the amount of riding you do. Shimano 105 is the same as Dura Ace, just abit heavier. Case closed.
  17. I was looking at getting a giant anthem. Decided against it for the time being. But after reading that post I think Im glad I decided against it. Gees 4 frames?? Thats hectic!!!
  18. Im beginning to think that Tour/Race proven is the way to go. Merida is definately race proven as far as MTB goes. Also, value for money, you cant touch it!!! Just not sure im mad about that magura upfront!
  19. tighten the headset cap first and then the stem bolts Had the same prob on my mtb. First u have to tighten the headset cap to pull it up and make it tight Then then ones to secure it to the stem I did the above and it worked for me!
  20. The groupset is expensive, dont get wrong. But its not so much more than say sramX0 and Xtr. The one thing i cant understand though is how a cassette can cost R3,5k. That blows my mind. If I got it I would never ride in mud!
  21. Not sure if this is a hijack. But could someone run through the process to remove and grease a crankset and BB. Mine is squeaking abit and I wanna do it myself and not take it to the LBS. Also is it safe to do it myself on a carbon frame?
  22. Its a trunk rack. You can get them at cycle lab, but the distibutor is bicycle power trading. Look no further than saris, trust me. When you get one PM me and Ill tell you how to make your bike thief proof.
  23. Niks?
