  1. I thought the tour was fantastic! Catered for the race snakes as well as riders that just wanted to enjoy the scenery and try get some good training in. Perfect time of year for one of the most beautiful parts of our country. Very friendly support vehicles, for all groups, that everyone could use. Glad to see that next year there will be timing and that the last day is just the road stage so we will be able to get home during daylight. Myself and my better half will definitely be back next year and hopefully bring a few friends.
  2. Geoghan Loop. Quite close to Salt Rock. About 30km per loop I think. Rather hilly as well!

  4. GP 4000. I have found very good puncture resistance with these, as well as more than good enough to race on. They are also clearing a lot of slower selling coulours at the moment, so you can pick them up for around R200 I think.
  5. Didn't Thabo say we should keep Jake on???
  6. Try this one RABUBI: http://www.kreuzotter.de/english/espeed.htm
  7. I have used the Rockets for a while and they seem to work pretty well. Besides a bit of a schlepp getting into them, i am very happy with them.
  8. Lose some fat and use aero wheels over light ones
  9. J L in a few years perhaps? May become slightly easier for our okes if the peleton reverts to one speed.
  10. I am so sorry for her and her family. Rode past the scene after it had happened. Very distressing.
  11. Obie may be all of the above but him and this thread, have given me the best laugh I've had in ages!!

My mate races with them (front and back) and he swears by them. Unless a direct crosswind I think you should do fine.
  13. May have been for warranty purposes the second time but I still had to pay. It wasn't much (R150 odd Rand) but it was 1) the principle and 2) why do they keep failing that bothered me. I have a pair of the old black Campag Shamals now that I use for training. Absolutely brilliant!
