  1. Thanks skollie, shes a beaut. Its as low as it can go and the remote is working well. Still feels she needs to go down a cm or two but then i just adjust the dropper a tpuch and its fine. Will see on the first few rides.
  2. Now that would have saved me a lot of time. ????
  3. You have no idea of the pain it took...had utensils everywhere to help guide it but eventually managed to go through...worth it though
  4. Manged to get it as low it can go with the remote working smoothly now. Had to try route the cable on the other side of the suspension bolt so it didn't bend much. Will ride it a while and see if it will work bit feels ok. Thanks for input.
  5. Lol..you okes are funny...lucky i got a greay semse of humour..hahaha I see the 100mm dropper from giant is 350mm in length and the 125 is 395mm. So my question is, is the 100mm shorrer in terms of the part that goes into the seat tube and will this allow me to get it lower? Comedic comments welcomed...hahaha
  6. Yup, the old 100mm feels the same as the new 125mm. Going to try look at externak routing but put the post in first to see if it will make a difference. If not, the route as before but just dont extend the seat at full height.
  7. Hahah...hang from the rafters...will be sure to try that one..lol
  8. The post is as far down as it can go into the seat tube that its actually bent the wire causimg remote to feel very stiff. Yes, feels like the saddle is slightly too high.
  9. Ok people, need help here. Got my bike (will post pics shortly) and it came the old version 100mm dropper and my old bike has a new version 125mm dropper so obviously i swopped them around. Now heres thet thing, the 125mm dropper is as far down as i cam get it, but still feels like i need ot to go down a little bit more. The other issue is that the cable at the lost end has a big kink in it, presumably from me pushing the lost too far down, amd nw the lever is really hard to operate. So i put the old 100mm dropper in and still i feel it should go down a little more but cant. What can i do here? I have spent all morning swopping posts and am gatvol now. Its a beautiful giant trance medium frame amd i am 1.74m tall so frame size os right.
  10. You need them for steering. Sell a kidney and one lung. Can get buy with the rest :-)
  11. Yeah, really enjoyed Samuel. Including that all the time. I have the hang of Yafta except that first climb but i will conquer it soon...on a different bike...lol I think they should get rid of those small jumps and just leave the table tops, that would be good to try practicing. Will roll em and try the last one. Was a little tentative after the two crashes...hahaha
  12. Very lekker loops. Also just roll over them but today i was a little brave...lesson learnt..rollin from.now on..lol
  13. Thaba today for a great ride. Did Samuel today: what an awsomw flowy section. Has its challenges too and think i only struggled once. Yafta: first attempt at the first climb and failed. Second and last attempt also failed. It seems to have just a slight steeper incline at the top where i just struggle...BUT..made everything else after that. So doing Samuel and Yafta was a good achievement i think. Now for the unpleasantness: Theres that section that includes some of the downhill course, you know the one with the jumps and that massive berm in the beginning. So, that corner just before the monster wall of berm, has some loose stoney stuff and my tires just gave way and mam down. Got up, checked the bike, she was fine. Checked if anyone saw, not that i can see although im sure it looked like wild animals having a brawl with all the sand that got kicked up. A few abrasions and lumps forming. Shake it off and start again to roll over those jumps. What i dont understand is there is a jump just infront of the table top jump, why not just have the tabletop? Anyway, roll over the one slightly faster and the bike just bounced me around until she stopped. A small shin slap from the pedal. I am certain the Merida knows she is being replaced and was angry with me so she was difficult today and not complying....lol. Lekker ride though
  14. Starting her early...she may need a smaller bike....lol
  15. Agree with rouxtjie. I had to service mine two to three times a year (non-stealth) that cost a fortune. Eventually sold it and got a 2016 giant dropper - best decision ever.
  16. Whoa, never seen that before. Its also one of those nice skull chainrings. Bleh, who needs working gears when you can just freewheel...hahaha. Nice one kitted, thumbs up -
  17. Think i will wait for the Almighty Trance to arrive, bond with her for a ride or two then should be ready to roll.... Might then be faster...hahaha
  18. I do all the green, or so i thought and Yafta. After that sign with the maps on that piece of blue fence, i go past there and turn left but before i turn left i see past therat the top that ends up in that twisty bits, there is a whole bunch of signs saying blue. Just too tentative to try one in case i have to walk more than i ride...hahaha...yeah would be nice to meet up but be warned, im pretty slow and rest often....hahahaha
  19. Sweet. Soafter conquering Yafta, whats the next section of blue i could incorporate in my ride? The nice thing about Yafta is that the last downhill section is a lekker reward for the hard work.
  20. Ah yes, the almighty trance....it will be shipped next week only. I must excersise patience. She will be reveiled then :-)
