Right, the shifting down the up again to the right gear is shyte and annoying. Makes perfect sense then to use the RAD replacent cage qhen going wide ride. Thanks for that info as i was considering the wide range cassette as some point but now know the RD needs to change along with it.

I also have the xt medium clutch RD and 32t upfront and was considering the wide range cassette but since you having trouble, patches comments are worth looking at. Does it shift throught gear at all? Perhaps a longer b-tension screw is needed?

So the RAD is a replacement cage for the xt medium cage to improve shifting and not an entire RD? If the 40t works with the medium cage but has sluggish shifting, would the weekend warrior really notice a guge difference? Although precise shifting is sublime,will the cost of upgrade/replacement be worth it for the average rider?

Myles, what type of.bad stuff on the sunrace cassette? Was actually gonna look at that option. What's the opinion on.on the praxis.

Thanks for the feedback. Was just concerned about the tubless setup but seems its not a problem if taped up correctly. Bike looks really cool with them on.

So I got the ibex/canis combo (2.25 FR) but looking at getting a new set of rims but the options for 26er rims is limited. Was keen on the WTB Frequency I23 but cannot get them here but in see chain reaction has a few left but not sure if its worth the money importing them. Any suggestions on good Trail/AM 26er rims available locally that wont break the bank? Tubeless also.
