  1. Shout it from the rooftops!!! Certain people (i.e. poophols) just cannot be rehabilitated... I'm not a whinger BUT.... Send to SA for his retirement...."pappa wag vir jou!!"
  2. Pity you are so far away....we could have made a plan... I just said farewell to my second dog (2 weeks ago) due to old age & related complications. Now my third one is all alone during the day...
  3. Cassie

    Cricket......

Amla is THE man!!! Even old Biff has risen a few notches on my peg....but only a few...he's still a dingbat (and I haven't totally forgiven him yet!)
  4. OK. I'LL WATCH HER!!! ALSO THAT RUSSIAN POLE VAULTING BABE..
  5. he he he....just pulling your leg. Keep me entertained.....
  6. Clint...sorry dude...bad news... there is a special script that specifically block troubled thinkers like you.....
  7. I've got exactly thsi set up you are describing... on Mavic 617 rims....(I think...got a mind blank on tha one now...) Also via CRC ~18 months ago.... The Mountain Kings have a bit more agressive tread...nice & grippy for front wheel (+ size 2.4 for that extra little bit of fatness = total peace of mind for any corner that the trail might serve up!!) The 2.2 rear race king is ideal with a bit leass treat protruding and nice easy rollability. you cannot go wrong with that combo!
  8. Just bad luck...I guess. I've been running that same tyre with Stans for over a year as well and no problems thus far! Perhaps just a/the dud tyre out of the batch?
  9. Man o man....I'm really enjoying this TDF coverage!! (first season with a PVR...) got me nailed to the TV for much much longer that I wanted to stay and watch....it is rivetting!! no cycling...no mowing the grass...no Rugby (well, almost!!) Seems Wiggins can't put a foot wrong....
  10. R1300 at my LBS.....so, internet buying still best option!
  11. judging by all the moaning about LBS & their service & their prices etc etc. I'd say you are way off mark with your comment!!! OBVIOUISLY SW is not trying to do us a favour....just like LBS...they are in it as a commercial venture!! {take Cycle lab for an classic example!} Give em a chance...use your head when it coems to advice offered from their sales reps / mechanics etc. And good luck!! the more suppliers the merrier!! It will definately keep the LBS's on their toes!!
  12. Tell you what... let's set up this sucker for a scam himself...."accidently" mail it to a distant post office and make hime drive all the way there to collect....nothing!!
  13. There is a Hubber here with a company called "Yellow saddle" why not give him a shout??? {do not shout AT him though...}
  14. I heard the Bulls pulled thru in the last minute??
  15. @slick....nice piece of writing!! PS: you'll have to change your avatar for a while.....
  16. Thasnk for the info...I'll dig around for it...I'm sure to find it!!
  17. also should have added - seems they "redirect" yuo to other service providers from their website...and thsoe shops do not want to ship to SA?? Am I correct in my deductions?
  18. aah...Ok? i'm not too familair withteir website then? how /where do iget to the courier option? (can't beleive i "Missed" that option/) I will get a frien of mine to combine his order with mine - that way we still save a bit when using courier option...
  19. Agreed on the expected free service.....BUt if it was a small item and really no effort to quickly fix...the LBS owner might have made a much bigger sale if he "sacrificed" the earlier order in order to win soem loyalty! I'm currenlty in a moral dilemma...I really want to support my own LBS BUT...CWC is just so much chearper....By R250 on a pair of shoes...and R200 on a new helmut (I desperately need both items)....now what do i do? I do not like to have to quibble for a better price with a dude that i know....This AFTER my wife "surprised" me with a Camelbak for my birthday.... from his store that I could have gotten anywhere cheaper by R350... Moral dilemma indeed?
  20. I tried to order variouis items for my smartphone (covers /screen protectors etc.) They are a fraction of the price in our local cell shops (i.e <R50 compared to >R200!!) BUT no delivery to SA!! How do i get around that?? PS: i have sucessfully ordered a Kindle and am a happy reader!!
  21. I bought mine (26er) from CRC a while ago! Great set of tyres...UST version will not cut on rocks....beleive me - mine's now ~18mths old and still going strong.
  22. Winter time inthe tents = not such a greta idea!! Rather opt for the chalets and the roaring firepalces + bottel soetes + cosy company!!
  23. It's looon steady climbs.... no worries catgirl...djy het mos geoefen of hoe???
  24. shhhhh....It's suppose to be a secret!!!
  25. Personally...any ride longer that ~40kms...I'll opt for "normal" (i.e non baggies) and add some chamoix cream to that!! Never had a problem and on multi stage events - stick with bib shorts....
