As a side note....I witnessed a prominent biike shop owner from Swest ride the entire route...without getting off on those seriously steep portage sections!! Hectic....wellthen, this same guys also did the entire Epic on a singlespeed...go figure?

Seriously cool stuff!! I spend 2 weeks in Dec there and rode to my heart's desire!! Can't wait for Dec2012 to do it all over again....

yes, The ozone in the air will eventually "attack" and perish your tube if left open to air....thereforte wrap in any plastic bag etc. and cover with some baby powder...to prevent ozone from attacking the nitrile rubber...

I can also vouch for this.... Eldron...you not my alter ego...are you?? Another fact...I'm on a VERY old chain (i mean...you can see the rollers actually moving loosely on the pins......)....I can SEE the squirt dissapearing into the rolles/pins...that "wax" stays inside the rollers...I'm a very big advocate for CORRECT APPLICATION technique...do not simply apply all over...take a liitle more time and put on rollers only - not side plates...it serves no purpose other than perhaps rust prevention...

I used to be "anti-Squirt"...for reasons unbeknown to me....{from looong time ago!!} For the past 18months i've seen the light...since I ride mostly in dry conditions with the occasional muddy patch and water crossing... (i.e. not an entire 50km mudfest...) For that - squirt is tops!! I especially like the dust repelling factor of Squirt... When a wet ride (winter time here inthe W cape) comes along...I simply add Finishline wet lube on top of the squirt and bob's your auntie...

OK...let's just add two more threads to this forum...one called "Bunfight" and peeps will have to subscribe to it (so our young impressionalble youth can stay out of it!!) ...like a virtual boxing ring.... where Hubbers can have a go at it...almost like a Roast session - Charlie Sheen's roast session on Channel 122 comes to mind The other can be "Undesirable" fred where all the ttattoos can be displayed...again with a serious security ringe around it ... I'd personally would like to sit on the side lines and watch some Hubbers self destruct....as long as it is in cyberspace....seems people like to assume alter ego's on the web... So how about it...anyone for a bunfight??? go challenge in the "bunfight" section....

So, I decide to give my old steed a once over on the public holiday...instead of going for a ride... Horror of all horrors...look what i discovered... This boytjie is not new....but do i have any recourse for a refund/ warranty claim? This is now my second Shimano freehub to give me trouble (Bike is ~3 years old!!)

Chat to Ngala24 here on the Hub....he knows about customs etc.!!
