  1. Thanks. Kindly elaborate on the "tropical fruit salsa"?
  2. Thanks DJ. Will try out. Sounds like my kinda meal, but I have some "not-so-educated" friends... So I think... I'll just keep those for myself, and just serve them some (common) rump.
  3. To the Foodies... I got some fresh tuna fillet. Apart from sushi, any suggestions please? (preferably for my Weber...)
  4. I'm nearing sixty, so that is not really an option for us anymore, but man, if we were 20 years younger, we were gone. My youngest is 20, and he will be gone in two years, if that long...
  5. Hi. I did S2C in 2016, and lost my bangle... Anyway/where I can get it replaced? Obviously for a donation...
  6. Nee man... Jeeps, that's just... not right....

    Who remembers?

I grew up in Springs - East Rand.... I never got into the 1st or under13/14/15 A teams. So we played the "earlier" games... And I remember literally playing the frost of the field Saturday after Saturday.... We were the tuff ones, the later/upper teams were the softies....
  8. True. I built a 6mx6m deck some 16 years ago, used CCA treated poles (and planking). We always joke and say the house will probably fall in before that deck goes anywhere.

    Who remembers?

Me too. Until some dwis stole mine...
  10. Technically, it's not a braai... but, hey, it's cold man! From this... To this...
  11. First saw a frame at lbs locally and then in CT last year, just looked supercool, wanted one. Not overly light, but it's said that bamboo is gram for gram stronger than steel etc. Want to build a proper gravel bike, so looking for advice from guys who've built theirs. Yeah.... will keep it in mind. Will let you know, apparently not stiff from what I read. Wanted to take one for a ride when I picked mine up in Lusaka, but we were very late, and they did not have one available to ride.
  12. Fetched this frame in Zambia. Planning to do a gravel bike. I do need help though...please, any suggestions or advice will be appreciated.
  13. Place is called Samfya. We arrived late as usual, looked for a camping spot. Right at the dead-end of the road, past some construction we found this place. They offered supper, we gladly accepted. My bil took a chance and asked if we could eat on the beach, and they nearly fell over their feet to oblige. An absolute magical evening... most beautiful fresh fish, tender pork and excellent chicken,,, must say, I suppose that's how the colonialists must have felt...
  14. Another one of the Lumangwe Falls.
  15. This was Lake Bangweulu in Zambia.
  16. Your wish, Sire, is my command...
  17. DJ, my pic is of the Lumangwe Falls in Zambia. Not quite as big as Vic, but just as beautifully spectacular, [plus you can camp literally 50 metres away...
  18. Only in Benoni would one put mags on a '67 split window.... only... in Benoni (And maybe in Springs.... and probably in Brakpan...)
  19. So true. Not a shadow of the payer he was 2 years ago.
  20. He MUST save Vermeulen for WC19. We are thin at nr 8. Whiteley not back yet, so try the other Du Preez boet, but then play Pieter-Steph du Toit at 7. You need meat in scrum back 3 somewhere... Same at nr 10. Rassie's going to have to find another 10 somewhere... and I am no Jantjes fan, but he'll be there in 2019, so Pollard, Willems back, Jantjes will be there, maybe give the other Du Preez boet a run at 10...? Same at 9. Faf's the best, has been the best for some time, Toetie didn't agree. Van Zyl obvious flavour of the month, then who? I like Reinach - same kind of gritty mongrel as Faf
  21. Together with rice, potatoes, groenboontjies, and pampoenkoekies...
