  1. agreed Yoeleo wheelsets also very good. Just some more notes on the Farsport wheels, if you go for EDHUBs, go for ceramic bearing upgrade well worth it. the nice thing with these hubs are that they bitex re-branded (or at least the internal are Bitex) so locally easy to source spares, if required. Also no spare spokes are provided with wheels, so if you go through spokes worth ordering that as extra. The standard Skewers are perfect just a but heavier. recommend upgrading to there Ti version. Brake pad they supply, ok but i found mine squealed a lot so replaced with swiss top yellow now silent and better stopping power.
  2. i think around R13000 odd at that time but i took a couple extra things. Can't remember exact amount. Basically you just add VAT to paid amount and a clearing fee from the clearing company (ems i think was about R200)
  3. wheels took about a week to build abd then they notified me the shipping gave me tracking number and within 7 days they were here.
  4. i went for the ems free shipping option at that time. when it arrived ems sa contacted to clear items and pay vat. then they delivered to door within hours of vat payment being made.
  5. yip, loving the wheels no problems about 1000km now and perfect still looks and feels brand new. spin like butter on the ceramic bearings. im actually considering buy the 60mm now for the bling days... lol. highly recommended.

  7. Well thought I would give a small review, on a set of Chinese wheels. I finally bit the bullet and bought a set of wheel from the east, the choice of suppliers I narrowed down to was yeoleo and farsports (www.farsports.cn). As reviews, online were both good and bad but mostly good from both suppliers. I finally decided to go with Farsports, purely because of the availability of different hub choices and options. I was going to go for DT swiss hubs but landed up taking there EDhubs (basically Bitex unbranded) with ceramic bearings (mainly due to price). The service I received from Windy (sales person at Farsports) was fantastic. They remained in contact with myself right up until the wheels were in my hands. I opted for the Free shipping option and they still sent wheels via courier. The process was smooth and efficient and I had the new wheels in my hands within 2 weeks. Some details on the wheels: Tubeless compatible 50mmx25mm Clincher Model: FSC50CM-25T EDLogo - No LogoNO Spoke holes in rim bed (i.e no need to use rim tape)Rim Finish was UD Matt (and perfect no blemishes etc.)Hubs - Edhub ceramic bearing, BlackSpoke & Nipples - Black Sapim cx-ray + Black NipplesCame with Brake Pads, Skewers and Free ShippingWeight – As advertised I think they around 1.5kg but feel much lighterAnybody looking for a fantastic supplier, I can recommend them from my experience. From a performance perspective, still early days but I have put on about 200KM and they supper smooth and still 100% true, no issues loving them. From a cost perspective, i did pay a clearing fee with Courier and VAT (no import customs duty) hope this helps somebody looking to make the decision to import far east wheel, you wont regret it. At least im not.
  8. good to hear, how was shipping. did they arrive fast with standard shipping?
  9. hi all i'm about to order a set of wheels from china to give them a try but confused between yeoleo or farsports. any recommendation between these companies as i have seen mixed reviews online. currently leaning towards the Farsports version as they have the hubs im looking for but yeoleo (though more expensive) seems to have better feedback on the longevity of the carbon etc. any feedback appreciated.

  11. hi all im bored and i love the all black look of the 2011 and current 11 speed campag deraileurs. So my question is for all the machanics out there, can i essential rebuild an 11 speed 2010 model record rear derailleur with 2011 edition chorus parts (just the black alloy parts) From what i see they look the same the Upper and Lower alu parts (essentially just do away with the chrome sections. any advice and somebody willing to do this? before: after:

  15. Sorry cash is king, often people says DIBS and no show..... Also another annoying question is "How much did you pay for it?" hoenstly its for sale how much i payed for it should not be the buyers concern......maybe thats just me.
  16. check you bearing load adjustment if there is on those wheels. Had clicking once on my Mavic Ultimates even went as far and complete service new bearings etc. and all it was the Bearing load and skewers were adjusted to tight.
  17. eastons are bullet proof there no weight limit as far as i know. I have never had issues with mine even at my heavest when i was 100kg. and i was riding the EC90 deep section..stiff and smooth easton or zipp would be my options.
