Thanks ChrisF and DJR. Bike is an insurance claim. Lefty, wheel and frame damage I have been told. Still at my friends place. Will definiatly get one of those wrist straps.

My bike took me into a car. Now spending this lovely long weekend in hospital. Broken wrist and bruises and 6 weeks of the MTB. Going to feel like years this wait.

Not going to make tonight. Still stuck at work.

What a lekker event. The 56km was awesome, dusty as expected. Looks like every one had a blast today. I will definiately be back in 2019.

My nerves are finished. 1st race in 4 years. Going to be a sleepless night. Lookng forward to it though.

Roughly how many meters of climbing in the 56km ride?

All the way to Fairview and back with the farm roads. Was lekker hot coming back into Durbanville now.

If you guys are looking for a shop with great service then Ridgeway Cycles might just be for you. I couldn't find a Cannondale Synapse Ultegra in Cape Town and managed to get hold of Rory from Ridgeway. What a pleasant guy to deal with. Friendly and efficient and gave me even better prices with shipping than the local Cape Town shops. Got my bike and looking forward to dealing with them again. If you can't find something, give them a try. Big ups for the great service.

I am desperately looking for a shop that has one in-stock. Must be a size 54. I have phoned a few shops in Cape Town that show on the Omnico site as dealers,but nobody has stock of it. Hope there is one somewhere in SA.
