So how did you hubbers do? This was about the worst wind conditions I ever encountered on any race I have done. I started off way to fast/hard for my current condition and just could not recover enough to hook a decent group. Still enjoyed the race

Where does this leave PPA? Are we seeing the start of them loosing plenty of membership next year with all these "private" races starting to pop up?

There seems to be a difference in the readings you mentioned Harder rides I normally push to around 170 to 180bpm on the climbs and drags and try and keep above 140bpm on the flats. LSD rides are mostly below 140bpm

I was hoping to use the avg readings to gauge increase in conditioning. To do this there should at least be some sort of difference between my hard rides and LSD rides. Since there is not much difference I don't see any benefit in the readings Maybe you could compare avg's when you have a specific route you ride now and then Reckon i'll toss the powercal, drop the joule and just get a new garmin and carry on like in past.

Like someone stated earlier your starting group is probably the most important. To be honest 3hrs for the Argus is a very avg time. 2h45 is a good time in my books.......and no I have never done that time but it is a good goal
