  1. I just can't understand the rsa market, according to a quick search the spez range here down under will retail as follows (keep in mind the exchange rate is 10:1) LEVO SL S Works - $19000 LEVO SL Expert Carbon - $13200 LEVO SL Comp Carbon - $11200 LEVO SL Comp - $9800 ???
  2. Keep in mind gravity riding in South Africa isn't as advanced as it is in the rest of the world so we cant go start regrading all the trails from black to red or blue because if there is the slightest chance that Jannie Koekemoer on his trail/xc bike rides down on a now blue rated trail and rides over a gap covered by a pallet that is 1.2m wide and falls off the edge of the pallet or on some rocks, firstly he'll complain that why is this a blue and not black? It's way to "tech!" Simply put it's about indemnity. Trail builders/custodians you will never win as long as everyone has opinions.
  3. No... Just no... Looks like that coil would pinch your legs if you had beefy calves... I would not have that issue as my legs are "aerodynamic"
  4. Most important question.... Where did you get those socks??? ????
  5. Hmm I see what you mean... Although they have different shock arrangements, surely that makes some sort of difference in terms of performance? I would like to see one of those moving diagrams that show the rear wheel path of both setups... I'd be interested to see how different they are or whether it's pretty much same same but different
  6. Can you elaborate? Not really sure how they are similar...
  7. More travel is betterer... Let's leave it there, no need to be PC about it or make excuses for it. Having loads of travel or being "Enduro" is like going to the dark side for some people... They have no idea what they're missing! ???? #coilsforlife #Myles-way-or-the-highway
  8. Best bang for your buck IMO. They can take a beating and they run smooth. Also easy to service no special tools required. Simply put they're brilliant and after sales service is tops from Dayle.

  10. I'm well aware of that. I prefer the adjustability. Some do some don't.
  11. Have you tried mrp ramp control? Instead of tokens to prevent the bottom out? I prefer it over tokens any day
  12. Careful when buying online. I bought my first fivetens a couple years ago, UK9 unfortunately they were slightly to big more like a 10 I did a bit of research only to find out other guys had the same issue so the next time I order a size down, the fit was perfect... Buuuuut now I believe addidas bought them out so it's anyone's guess how they'll size their shoes now. I hope they'll remain the same, that said check out the ion range pretty decent and a couple 100bucks cheaper as well as 2fo spez shoes are also just as good or so I hear.
  13. I'm also running the soft spring but the factory settings are way off, I added alot more ramp think I'm at 16clicks as it felt as though the front wheel was stuck to mother earth. The ramp control is an awesome feature kinda wish that MRP could have installed the ramp control at the top like the other models just for the shear ease of adjusting on the move but that's really minor. Overall what a beast of a fork and for the money there's nothing that can compete.
  14. Interesting... were you running the ribbon coil on the following as well? I ask this as I have recently gone from a ribbon air to a coil on my reign and I immediately noticed that the air fork is alot more poppy however that said I'd probably never go back to air. So lekker just arriving at the trails without finicky air pressure adjustments. I think that ripmo would look even better with a CC coil strapped in there. Sweet looking bike!
  15. Trailtech cycles they do all the rad goodies!
  16. Not a fan of the foamo things... They not supposed to absorb the sealant but newsflash they still do, I ditched them and run my pressures a bit harder but apparently I weigh less than a fart. Rather invest in cushcore, I say invest because they are pricey but you can reuse them. Spend the cash once!
  17. I do not disagree that yes having multiple shuttle days do damage the trails however they are only happening once a month or every 2nd month depending how much maintenance we can get done. However like it or not we are creating awareness for the Helderberg trails and therefore growing the membership by showing people just how awesome our trails are. We have had people who live in the basin but never ride there because "it's so steep to climb" but now they have annual membership after riding these fantastic trails. We really hope to not only grow the trail network but make it sustainable.
  18. Don't stress if you have any stress give Bibi here on the hub a shout he'll gladly check it out for you. I just got the ribbon coil for my reign tested it yesterday on the medium spring but for my light weight I'll have to drop to the soft spring. When in doubt call Brenton/Bibi the BEST MRP dude around! I've had the stage and now I've gone ribbon, the only other fork I would consider is the HELM but it was just a little too much moola for me but the finish on the HELM is super Purdy! Anyways I like all the dials that mrp give you as this gives you a plethora of settings to play with if you like to tinker alot. The ribbon is also relatively cheaper to maintain as the service intervals are looooooong! But you probably know this as you get a service manual with your Purdy new fork just remember to register your fork on the site.
  19. How many monies? I'm looking at the oneup composites as they are under 1k and my v12's are beat up(one or two pins are broken off which is a pain in the arse to remove and I need a service kit which ain't cheap)
  20. Come to the Helderberg trails my friend! Or better yet join the next shuttle day, there are some exciting plans for the future however mother nature needs to play along and give us rain this winter. That's a huge issue here no water so the dust is hectic but do yourself a favour head up to the top lines all the old school lines are being opened up that means rock drops, rock rollers and rock gardens... I think you get where we are going with this but all these rocks that magically embed themselves in the trails come from somewhere lots of hard work and carrying on a legacy left by those before. The biggest issue that faces most Trail networks is riders that think braking means you need to lock up and drag 10m before the corner instead of controlling one's speed and rolling through or over an obstacle. The damage done by this type of riding is terrible and really takes its toll on the trails. Lastly I don't understand why so many people do not buy a day permit or annual permit... That really pisses me off to see this sort of behaviour, riders knowingly ride late afternoon/evening without any permit and then get pissed off when they are caught and asked to kindly leave. (rant over) Respect the trails and ride within your limits. Happy trails!
  21. I don't really feel much difference in weight on my reign with the cc coil the major difference is that coil is super sensitive to the smallest of bumps and on climb mode she climbs perfectly... I only weigh around 70kg fully kitted with backpack.... the new tech around these modern coils is awesome
  22. Coil for the win! But those PUSH coils are kaaaaaak expensive...
  23. Where abouts?
  24. Out of interest do you find kit be it for cycling or motorbike expensive or is it relative to your salaries?
