  1. Great tour. Well done to Richie Froome hey Phil?
  2. An interesting thing I've noticed after adding more fat to my diet. Joburg is dry in winter. For you Capies I don't mean merely that it doesn't rain. I mean it is DRY. You open a packet of crisps and 10 minutes later they are more crunchy. Rusks turn to powder. The effect of that is dry skin. Particularly as you get older. I used to get so dry my skin would become red and burn. Since adding more fats to my diet this is not nearly as severe. Also my joints are smoother and easier to move. Started this morning adding coconut oil to my porridge. Dam that is tasty. Sorry about bringing that up in front of guys on strict low carb. I have managed to merely reduce carbs a little and up fats a bit and I'm doing fine. Weight very stable and energy very steady. That's the version of this diet that works for me. We are all somewhere on the curve I guess
  3. Tomorrow looks terrible for the riders. Great for us spectators.
  4. Who gets the red number? I would give it to Riblon or Quintana
  5. A part of me will be relieved when this Tour ends. I'm getting stuff all done. My own riding is not even happening.
  6. It looks like that's it for Contador. But then he never gives up.
  7. Porte back again. The man is clearly unable to feel pain
  8. Quintana is amazing. Can only imagine how he will go in a few years.
  9. He is loads better than Wiggins. Can you imagine, he would have lost like half an hour on the descent.
  10. Have to admire Contador. The complete package.
  11. Complaining about CF complaining. Good grief. Does no one remember Jens having a total fit about his mate Schleck breaking his collar bone on the cobbles. Remember how that softie complaining baby Jens had a go about how dangerous it was to race on the cobbles. Remember that soft man Cancellara who is a real baby on the descents neutralizing a stage because it was wet and slippery. He basically stopped all the racing for the day. Short memories guys. Oh and for the real slow most of the above was sarcastic
  12. What time does the broadcast start? Still got the bloody stove to shoot. Everything else done.
  13. Well at least the argument is now settled as to Froome being South African or not. He is clearly South African. The proof is he wants the race cancelled because of rain. We are all terrified of the wet stuff. I remember an Englisg farmer being flabbergasted with me when I told him we couldn't pick apples because it was raining. "You are not made of effing sugar, you won't dissolve" was his response.
  14. Now I have to figure out how to photograph, deep etch and retouch a gas stove, organize shoot days for a office furniture catalogue, do 2 A2 inkjet prints and make a colour change to a 2 way office desk set up for a Macro ad before the afternoon start of theTour. And the riders think they have a tough day! Think I better get an early start.
  15. One of the things I like about Cavendish is his respect for the Tour. He gets over the mountains and makes it to the finish every time. Unlike a certain Italian who used to take a 2 week mid July holiday every year.
  16. Love the way Contador just never gives up. He will fight until the end.
  17. How could they not know Daryl and Robbie are mates? Real class!
  18. Wow, if only Froome had the time to read this thread then he would really know how to race. And then we could teach him how to be hard as well. I mean how soft cock was that ride up vontoux?
  19. On a hilly TT like today will the guys use TT bikes or will they go with normal road bikes?
  20. Once bitten twice shy is fine but if you get bitten once by a particular dog no need to be afraid of all dogs for the rest of your life. That's called baggage and it is a problem you can get help for.
