Good game today. Lekker vibe in the stadium as well.
  2. I was quite surprised myself when my partner bought it. She wasn’t even into coffee. The deal was I would buy all the coffee, which I was doing anyway. I guess I spend about R750 a month on coffee.
  3. I can vouch for the La Marzoccho. Trouble free and solid as a rock, and I have the baby of the breed.
  4. There is a coffee and chocolate expo at Monti Casino this weekend. Worth a visit if you like fudge otherwise not worth the eternal traffic jam.

Really like him. Just hope he gets over this epic injury streak. Off for a concussion test after about ten minutes today. Hope he is OK.

I’m a lions supporter but I’m not sold on Jantjies even though his performance was much improved today. I thought Etsebeth was fantastic today but still don’t really like him as a captain. I hope we get Whitely back as captain. He could have a big impact.

Same team that has been thrashing every other team this year. Did you watch the game?

I can’t say I agree with that. I felt the one try was a poor decision. Looked knocked on to me. The first all black penalty from the kickoff was very fortunate. It’s a bit like saying the better politely party wins the election.

Massive improvement. Remember we were beaten by Italy last year. Not sure about big time territorial dominance Dale. Well into the second half stats were shown that for that half the Springboks had that advantage. Anyway whatever. It was a monster game.

How ever this ends, today the Springboks are the better team

Proper rugby test this. Very hard and entertaining.

Rugby, it’s just entertainment really and I thought the Springbok Ozzie game was entertaining.
  13. Don’t neglect the footnotes. Gets funnier and funnier.
  14. My dad wrote a porno. It’s hysterical. This chaps dad wrote and self published an awful erotic novel. He and two friends read a chapter a week and basically take the piss out of it. NSFW. Proper English humor. It went viral and the book sales took off. The dad ended up writing follow on’s as a result of his initial literary success which was all due to the podcasts. Up to season 4 now.

I phoned Newlands hoping to get a ticket for the upcoming game. I asked the lady who answered if there was still place for me. She said sure, what position would I like to play?
  16. I don't recall. I. In Durban at the moment so don't have access to prior invoices.
  17. I forgot to mention the service is very good. Lee is great. I often follow her recommendations. My personal favourite is the Ethiopian Harrar bean. Give it a go
  18. I like your photos very much Veebee. I hiked a lot in the Berg, still do but not as much now, and you really get the feel of the place. That's not so easy to do. Landscape photography these days tends to over hdr and over saturation with little thought given to composition or feel. You are not doing that with these images.
  19. Shot in Durban this morning.
  20. Various sources. Perhaps other can chip in here. Stay away from Woolies, never tried checkers, be surprised if its fresh. I order from Green Bean Roastery and they courier to me. African single origin is sort of my thing and it's what they do.
  21. Manual is much better. I am no fan of filter machines. In your position I would buy either an aeropress or a plunger. Follow a proper consistent method with either. Grind the beans just before use. Big thing is get fresh roasted beans. Like really fresh. Roasted within the last week. Keep things consistent. Weigh the beans to get the same dose every time. Time the brew. Ensure out the same amount of water every time. You can get great coffee with a plunger. I have no experience with smart drippers or mocha pots so don't mention them. I'm sure someone with experience will be able to help.
  22. I'm no guru but this is the Internet so I'll fake it.. I don't like nespresso coffee and it is expensive per cup. A further downside is you learn nothing using a nespresso. The upside to nespresso is it's better than ricoffee, marginally, and the machine is cheap to buy and it's convenient. If you want to get into coffee and go on a bit of a journey try starting with a plunger and a grinder. Or a aeropress and a grinder. Or a smart dropper and a grinder. Basically buy a grinder. The best you can afford. But anything in an emergency. A hand grinder if you have the patience.
  23. It takes 2 min and 10 seconds to froth milk?
  24. Sounds boring.
  25. Hahahaha. Yes. Good memory. So you didnt bankrupt me, you bankrupted her.
