What grips do you have on now? Why not get more of the same? Ergon has an interesting range of grip. I am using the Enduro's - Jury is still out on whether I like them or not.

What is wrong with your DT's and why do you think they need to be changed? It may be difficult to improve dramatically on those... Are your discs 6 bolt or CL's? Thug has a good suggestion with DT240 (or 190) hubs with DT Revo spokes and ZTR Olympic (347's). Hopes are very nice, but are a little heavier

The Anthem X1 goes for around R26000.00 give or take a bit. Standard with a Gobi saddle and UST 819 rims. Most shops supply it with non UST tyires, but Action Cycling here in Cape Town has it with Crossmark LUSTs. Chuck on some pedals and you are good to go! Would love to have it, but still enjoying my '08 Anthem 1.
The sad thing is that Craig was on his mountain bike - I am guessing, on his way to Tokai. I often ride to Tokai from my house as well. Its 7km and I think its a waste to drive. If you wanna stay out of harm/traffic's way, perhaps that's the thing to do then.
It's a lot cheaper than the other popular brands, so some bike shops use it in their conversions. I had it in my wheels, but didn't ever get a puncture (that I know of) so can't say if it works or not. I think that it is aimed more at tubes rather than tubeless conversions.
