  1. Hi TimW Thanks for telling us about ROAG. Having done no mtb races, will you use road results to calculate my seeding? Thanks, Splat
  2. Wasnt the concencus on the Camps Bay riders the other day, that they mustn't complain when they get run over?
  3. I hate that feeling where you spend the rest of the day replaying the situation and kicking yourself for not saying a whole lot of things. Like: 'Oh look, a Horsie! On the Effing single track!'
  4. Agree with you JR. What did you say to them?
  5. If a potential student already had a good tool kit, is there a discount on the price?
  6. What happened? Did you walk up OKW backwards with no shoes?
  7. Did you 'latex' your pants as well?
  8. WOW! How old is that rim? Perhaps worn from the brakes? Rather is burst @ home than on the trail!
  9. OK, so one way or another, it will be carnage in Kalk Bay and then possibly OKW to deal with on the other side. Awesome! I cant wait!
  10. Heard similar things on the rumour/grape vine. Also heard that the cycle tour trust is taking the matter up at provinicial level. I noticed that they have dug up one lane on Main Rd again - I think it would be silly to go over Boyes Drive - imagine the carnage at the Kalk Bay traffic lights!
  11. Cut and paste off thier website: FULL SERVICE FULL SERVICE FOR SUSPENSION MTB?S MINOR SERVICE WASH AND LUBE WHEEL REBUILD/BUILD GEAR SET BRAKE SET GENERAL LABOR PER HOURR350 R450 R170 R120 R130 R75 R75 R150
  12. What do they actually use for the seeding for Sani? Do they go and look at my winning time results?
  13. I had a very bad shudder on my old hardtail with Hayes disk brakes. It turned out that the rear hub's cones needed tightening up. Once the hub was sorted, the shudder was gone. (I think it was the cones - bontrager race disc wheels)
  14. Be sure that there is no grease around the clamp area. Perhaps use a carbon assembly compound which adds some friction. You could also sand paper the post a bit in the area where you clamp it.
  15. When the wind blows like that, It's the only time I am happy with my weight!
  16. Eish! That's not great. Glad she is up and OK again, but she will be sore later and tomorrow morning. I ride through that circle often - scary how few motorists know how a traffic circle works... Gotta be careful out there!
  17. Just saw that now. Thought you might like that! Does it cause a bit of an internal conflict? Or would you get over it quickly?
  18. According to the advert, beavers use Colgate. And according to ALL the marketing hype from ALL the bike companies around the world, carbon DOES deaden vibration. So you must be wrong. Besides, we arent riding cello's...
  19. Thanks brianj. I hope they get through their orders or it wont be worth putting my order in! Let us know when yours is dispatched.
  20. Have you emailed them? Tell us what they say.
  21. Why?
  22. Hey Does anybody use these tyres? Tubeless ready front and rear specific? I am thinking about running them for Sani. Like everybody else, I hope it doesn't rain and we don't get too much mud. I am hoping these fit the 'all singing, all dancing, do it all' bill I was pointed away from Kenda with the sealant story and pointed away from Crossmarks 'cos they are cr@p in the wet. Would love UST Mountain Kings or Nobby Nic's, but I cant take out ANOTHER bond just for tires... splat2009-01-19 03:57:06
  23. The Maxxis bubble thing is not new, but Maxxis will do a limited replacement on the tyre. Kenda isn't interested if you have used sealant. How many people around the world run tubeless without sealant? Isnt that half the point? (repeating what you said a bit there Homey)
  24. My search function keeps crashing out. I was up there on Saturday and its still firmly closed at the top.
