  1. +1 for Bibi ! He always "rides" the extra mile ! Checked with cSixx, rapide, Kalbo, CWC, Evobike, Easybike.......... Not the right stuff. The chainring bolts screw straight in to the crank, doesn't use a "nut". The bolts need to be 16mm long and the spacers must have a 8mm ID.
  2. I Bought the normal one, not the B-version which is +3mm for boost frames. It's actually the same crank for 1X or 2X setup. The 1X just comes without a chainring. I Have spoken to Hilton at Pyga and he says the frame is designed for a 49mm chain line(Sram). 1.4mm difference according to what i'm seeing here still won't get a decent line. Any case I'm having spacers made with the right dimensions and Bibi is trying to source the right chainring bolts for me.
  3. What's the handling like with the Lefty on that bike ? 120 travel ?
  4. Posted Today, 15:03 Then I'd advise that you use the spacers that you've put on the crank arm so that the chainline is improved. Well that seems like the only fix. Not that easy though. Can't find any 5mm spacers so I'll have to get them made. Can't find long enough bolts, so will have to get from across the pond. Was hoping that dedicated 1X would fit and line up somewhat better ?
  5. No spacer used between the frame and bb and also no spacer on crank spindle ? That's why i'm confused
  6. If I space the chainring 5mm closer to the frame, this is what I get ???
  7. And this is what I am getting ???
  8. So guy's, help me out please !!! Its the oneten that I am building. This is what I am using.
  9. nuclear sounds good ! Also kryptonite......at least Clark Kent wont try to steal my bike ! While I was waiting for the bar to arrive I was nipping that this is going to be overkill green. but with the black stem and grips it turned out sharp. On the pics it looks good but when standing next to it, it looks flippin cool !
  10. Guys I have spoken to and asked for advice suggest anything from 45 to 65. I'm also 6 feet tall and also building a large frame. I got a 65 stem with a 760 bar to start with, will see how it goes and change if I have to.
  11. Believe you me........this is the one you want ! 450 bucks but you wont find anything better than this ! AMS (All Mountain Style) Frame Guard. Bibi is the importer for these. CWC still has stock and if you stay in Pretoria you can get them at Hotspot.
  12. Does anybody know if or when these will be available in sunny South Africa ?
  13. Ouens.........As julle niks se nie sal ek niks se nie !
  14. Good day everyone. I Just want to give you a small update. Shrek's first parts arrived this afternoon. It's going to be another month or so before I'll have everything to start building. I'm super excited and can't wait ! There is one thing that is worrying me........My Wife has seen one or two of the invoices for some of the stuff that I have bought so far and she is starting to look at me in a way that is making me somewhat nervous ! Does anybody know if that's normal ? Cheers vir eers !
