  1. Well no, but i think i’ve run out of wishes and feel you are just using me to rub your lamp vigorously…
  2. @BikeGenie, you still riding?
  3. Bump. Guess those who need to know, do already. For the rest, come try some ‘XC-duro’ if you think you’re fast down Hoogekraal! Related thread: Leka!
  4. Have you seen the roads in the rest of the country? When last have you been to the EC? GP? NW? LP? hell…london UK?? Lol The roads here are great. We all know some of the roadworks around the peninsula are due to recent flooding and fires. A few months ago roads around chapmans peak and other parts weren't even open, not even traversable due to landslides. I think they did pretty well given the hand they were dealt. Im sure we can buy you a coke and a water if it will make things better?
  5. And geometry. Way too cramped for my liking to be comfy for long rides even though it’s a 62cm.
  6. I still have a vintage road bike with accompanying man gearing (54-42/12-21)i need to try the CTCT on but i am yet to be drunk enough to commit to doing it on that thing and its 23mm tyres. I dread doing 108km on the bone rattler. It really just hurts sitting on it 🤣. Ive said it many times…it’s from a time when sex was safe and racing dangerous.
  7. 42/19. 4h 3mins moving time. 4:39 official. I stopped and took lots of videos and pictures to document the experience for the mofos at work ( to convince them to join me next year for a charity) was surprisingly easy to be honest. I expected to explode before the end but it was fine. You get murdered on the flats and downs because you spin out at 35kph ish but you catch up on the hills. I klapped all the climbs in one go except for suikerbos…which i did in two halves. I can 100% do under 4 hours on this if i ride straight through to the end like i usually do. next year.
  8. Half the beach is on the promenade. Doesn't help…
  9. Ive trimmed mine as small as it will go…but it’s still coming off and into my pocket as soon as im through the gates lol.
  10. New mk4 has been fine (touch wood), although wheel builders seem reluctant to tension them up too much due to their older siblings bad reputation for cracking lol. So difficult to say i guess.
  11. Yes, a plastic one! (ps: I've actually had it for 4 months now..time flies when having fun right)
  12. Ive found all the bits between two or 3 online stores here in the cape, which tells me that silly aircon business must have brought some in at some stage
  13. This gives me an pseudo-OCD fuzzy feeling in my naughty place…
  14. Thats nice. I imagine that's a faceplate sitting in a channel in the frame? As in when removing you are not just looking at the i side of the downtube. Then on the back it, or in the channel you would have clips holding the hoses/cable housings in place. Thats how i would do it anyway. Best of both worlds.
  15. Like those who dont know that sram transmission (shifting) is basically linkglide but in AXS format 😅. Still they’ll want GX mechanical though because marketing. Im with @BaGearA, my next groupo on my big bike will be xt linkglide (if i can find some ofcourse)
  16. I know this trick, doesn't make it any less of a ball ache though. Especially if there are internal ported sections that wont take foam. Anyway, i got mine quiet after 3 weeks of it sounding like a sack of bolts. And it sounds so much worse inside carbon. I also just still don’t like the fact that i have to cut a brake hose if i wanted to tinker with parts (which i do a lot)….or bleed the rear brake property without mounting the bike in some kind of akward position😅
  17. Nice, clean looking machine, also nice to see a bit more of a restrained, minimal approach to the branding on the bike. It says Titan Racing now, not TITAN RACING HELL YEAH!!!!!!! Nice.
  18. Screw that, why would you haul an extra 20g of dead weight👀
  19. I ‘avoid’ riding my hardtail too much…it keeps on reminding me of the amount of money i waste on suspension for my big bike. Im not really that much slower on it either👀😅
  20. 30mm works perfectly on everything down to 2.35 ish. As mentioned earlier, smaller and yo’ll start squaring the tyre off too much. Nobody runs 650b+ or 29+ anymore so the recently discarded ‘sub-fat’ standard of 2.8 -3.0” means there aren't many reasons to run anything above 30mm ID either. 35mm+ ID rims are a remnant of that.
