  1. I'm in - second Argus and looks forward to a great time
  2. Just completed the latest Carmicheal book on training... Although carmicheal believes in periodization (training 3 weeks with active recovery week) one thing that came out is that not even Lance Armstrong took off a month or two after a TDF or between 2 cycling calanders / years. Lance & Carmicheals point being that the fitness lost in for example say a month can only be recovered in 3 months time. It is just taking soo much more to recover lost fittness that it is not viable taking off long periods of time. Lance only took week or 2 MAX off before starting training again.
  3. Bikemax Ok now you have a power meter. now what? I ride my bike, I see power, download it to computor, See nice graphs etc. but... how do I know I train at right intensity ? how do I know if I actually getting better..? How do I know at what levels do I need to ride regarding power..? I know you are a coach and I have actually already contacted Bikemax regarding formal training you guys give and we know you are also in a bussiness to make a living but just generally give us an overview.. Where to start what to do and get us going. Worcesterwheeler Isn't worcester on the other side of the mountain or tunnel..LOL..!! Chiao : still horseless lancelot

  5. According to coggan: As a rule of thumb: Critical power (CP) CP60 can be derived from CP30 value by taking CP30 minus 5% will most often put you in the zone of CP60. Does anyone know how to derive other values from CP30 value. I am interested in say CP12, CP120 and CP180 I know the best method is to perform the tests yourself, but man, to test Critical Power for 2 and 3 hours is surely not that nice and could be determined by some other method.
