  1. Ill try my best! The saturday early morning will also be better for me too. I also have sunday commitments like Wannabe. Anyone keen to do this from table view?
  2. But that is what Cosatu told them to do.....
  3. I may be keen too. If you promise to play nice.
  4. Interesting stuff man. Always known that the wider tire rolls a bit easier than the thinner one. But to the extent of them saying rather go for the wider one, now that is awesome. You know how much nicer of a ride you will actually get from a 25c compared to a 23c. It will be softer, grip better and use less energy. Yes maybe 30grams more, but you still saving. I was TOTALLY taken aback though on the difference of latex tubes. I use just the cheapest stuff off the shelf. The lightweight butel tubes are less than half the weight of the bricks I have in my tyres. But a 10% difference, that is amazing! Wouldnt go with latex tubes as you need to pump them everyday. And also if you get a puncture they apparantly normally go BANG and you are on the rim in a sec. Not nice at all. BUT the totally awesome news and wow I am so happy now. I am waiting for my tubeless atoms to arrive. So with having no tubes at all, I just cant wait to feel the way that they are going to roll. SWEET, SWEET, SWEEEEEEEET
  5. Bright spark today yes!
  6. Distributer cap?
  7. But for R190 all you going to afford is the race entry for next year again!
  8. Well lets turn the coin back on them now. It is unfair and "racist" to me because there is no railway lines going into table view and surrounds. When I used to work in town I used to wish for a train service every single day trying to get there.
  9. Yep. Not doing it either. 3x the price is just not feasible. Maybe if there was total route closure or something it would be a different story. But, I dont really think they have a choice but to close vissers anyway, I wont ride on that road as it is too thin and dangerous as it is. One worn tyred subaru and he would end up taking out the whole elite group in one go.
  10. Well thats the road that I use too on my bike. What a joke. Now they have just taken my yellow lane away that used to be next to the waste plant. Now on my way home I literally have to cycle in the right (fast) lane to get home as the left lane is now too narrow for big cars, let alone leaving some space for me.
  11. 100% with Tank there. Used to use my current compact when I had 9 speed, now I have 10. It is even easier if you think about it this way. Because 10 speed chain is slightly thinner than a 9 speed chain, if anything a "10 speed chain ring" would be slightly thinner than a 9 speed chain ring. So the 9 speed chain would definitely fit on there. But do you really think a company is going to spend all the extra money and time making 9,10,11 speed chain rings? hell no, one machine to stamp them all out and save cost. I know that a 9 speed chain will work on a 8 and 7 speed drivechain. So in that case I would even go as far as saying that a "10 speed compact crank" could work on a older 8 speed setup as well. As long as the physical distance between the pins on a chain is the same it will work up at the front. Hey, why dont you go tell the LBS that I used to use a 10 speed FD and 10 speed RD on my 9 speed shifters and watch how he has a heart attack Works 100% too. LBS's need to sometimes check their facts before they make statements sometimes.
  12. Saw that too The more I think about it, the more I want one.....
  13. Those are pretty awesome. Bit expensive though. Also, I can see your back tyre getting worn pretty quickly.
  14. Wow Those are HUGE But pretty awesome looking.
  15. The engine or whole petrol bike thing?
  16. Ahhh... Found the website again http://www.ecotrax.biz/ R1600 for the kit. Looks quite easy. Man, I am soooo tempted.
  17. 100% I get really upset when stupid f&^&ers!! drive on our roads like this!! The speed limits are there for a very good reason. I hope this guy knocks a tree all by himself in the middle of nowhere and gets the steering wheel through his head that he deserves. I know I am being harsh, but a idiot like this will never change and oneday he is going to kill 20 cyclists and he is going to claim the sun was in his eyes and he is going to walk away free. At 180km/h you are traveling 50 meters per second. A good new car will stop from 100km/h in around 3-4 seconds. I dont even want to guess the amount of tarmac and time he would need to bring his death machine to a halt if he needed to stop quickly. But I can probably say that you are looking at 300 meters to stop the herse. At 250km/h you are covering 70meters per second. And you are probably looking at around at least 8 seconds to bring that thing to a standstill. Yes, count it out in your head, it is a cr@p long time. It is simple, if you speed, you are a killer. Something will happen someday when you are speeding and it doesnt matter if you are a racing driver or not or what you are driving, physics are against you. You are going to demolish whatever gets in your path. Whoever was moaning earlier that you drive better faster, well the best of luck to you bud when you are bubba's bitch oneday. The speed limits are there for a reason, if you obey them, if something does go wrong you have so much more chance of reacting in time and saving someones life. I cant remember the stats, but if you drive 140 opposed to 110 on the n1, the chance of dying in something going wrong on the road goes up many many times. Ive also had enough of superbikes flying past me, but that is enough ranting for now else I may pop.
  18. Nice
  19. no, they wouldnt appreciate this in a MTB race Although I wonder if PPA even has a rule against having a motor? The electric bike is great for down to the shops and back. But if I need to commute and if I have the wind behind me, I am going to be frustrated if I cant get to 50 on sections where I want to. There is another forum I have discovered - motoredbikes.com
  20. ? Where they?
  21. But he did say LBS not LFS
  22. It actually does hide away really well. The only external evidance is a saddle bag. So unless you are riding league you have nothing to worry about
  23. That particular kit in mention costs a nice 10K or something. Yes, I would love that, but at that cost I would rather get a real motorbike.
  24. Thanks. They have a 30km/h limit. "You can go up to 30km/h without touching the pedals" So I imagine that as you start pedaling it will reduce power to the engine rendering you pedaling on your own by the time you reach 35. The reason there is a limit on the electric bikes is because there is some countries that have something like a 25-30 km/h limit on electric assisted vehicles. Not that any stupid laws like that will stop anyone here in SA though. I could probably build a petrol powered bike and ride on the N1 without anyone doing anything. Also looking more for a kit that can go onto a bike though. The electric bikes just look too "softie" for me.
