  1. Looks like Dawn Wing is stiffing me. They said they sent it same-day delivery, but yet to receive anything and they're no longer answering their phones. Guess it'll arrive on Monday. I won't be using CWC going forward, if Dawn Wing is the only shipping option. Happy to pay more for something better, but these guys are bloody useless with zero consideration for clients' logistics. It's currently raining in Sandton. Going to have to wait it out at the office for a couple of hours, or go sit in traffic.
  2. Would probably go better if they didn't start lying to customers, telling them that their address details are wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. 4800 is directly to track/trace. Their phones are currently problematic. I see my order shipped after I started throwing toys. Seems to be a case of "He who shouts loudest..." Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Dawn Wing in Jhb is messing up. Package was supposed to go out for delivery yesterday. It didn't. They flagged it with having an incorrect address. Phoned three times to try and resolve only to be told that there isn't an issue with the address and that delivery will take place by 5. At 5, still no delivery. Climbed onto their online chat since nobody was answering the phone anymore, and was told that the address was wrong and that it'll only be delivered tomorrow. Phoned this morning. Was told that it wasn't even sent out for delivery yesterday because they were too busy. The guy I spoke to would've found my parcel and phone me back with arrangements. Two hours later I phone again, to be told the parcel is actually lost. At this point I'm upset. It's about 10k of stuff. He escalated it to his supervisor and now they're apparently doing a same day delivery. Not sure whether that's going to actually happen. Ps. Also got stuck dealing with a Ronald. Sounds like the poor bugger stuck with the CWC account. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. My order went from processing to incomplete. Phoned and was promised a call back, which I missed. I followed up again but am yet to receive another call. Order 125036. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. My order is in. Some relative impulse shopping for getting back into mtb. Reba, Guide RS and a bike stand... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Ditto. Wanted to buy the Reba... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Usually you'd have a SLA with your service provider with various remedial steps in the event of nonperformance. This would, for example, be flagged as a critical failure/priority 1 issue, with a 1 hour turnaround time after which point the service provider may have to pay a fine per hour that the issue remains open. It's fairly obvious that there's been some massive oversight on the work done here. One would have to ask whether the service provider is fulfilling their commitments in terms of their contract. All sorts of repercussions are possible on that. Even then, the client never ends up ahead. As you rightly pointed out, the reputational damage here is ridiculous. Lost sales to the competition also needs to be considered. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Being on the management side, I blame everybody and I'll expect a root cause analysis on my desk in the morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. You missed Jacob Zuma in that list. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. IP probably doesn't match the SSL certificate registered. Odds are they're trying to get load balancing or a new server online. Very late in the game to be playing around with that sort of thing. Honestly, any competent IT company would've performed load testing after infrastructure changes and prior to a big event like today. I'd seriously be reconsidering my contracts with them going forward. Hopefully CWC at least has an SLA agreement to offset some of the damages they're taking. Anyway, that's long term and not conducive to resolving the immediate issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I remember last year, on the Gautrain on my way to work, the Monday following the event, there was a lady incredibly indignant that they got cut off after having spent four Saturdays training. How dare the organisers get it so wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Those may very well fit me and my Fiziks are feeling a bit tired... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. They're really good wheels, make no mistake. I currently have mine listed in the classifieds but it's because I managed to snatch some carbon wheels for a good price. Probably Continental aren't the best tire choice for them, but they're pretty puncture resistant tires. Using a good quality tire lever, they're not impossible to remove either, although more difficult than some wheels I've used. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Did a late distance change. They seeded me LL. Saw some strong looking guys also being seeded LL thanks to late entries, this morning. I think if you stick to the front of the bunch at the start, you can climb on to some strong groups.
  16. From what I can tell, it works differently this year. You now had to apply for a reseed similarly to the CTCT. Cutoff is already past. But maybe you get lucky at registration. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Yep, can't wait. For once I can ride to the start from my home, and that's exactly what I'll do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. No! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Going to be good. I'm treating it as a training ride as I'm doing it with a fairly unfit friend. Will probably do a couple of Klapperkop climbs straight after. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Bike insured? First step would be to open a case at the police. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. "Abloc’s website contains full particulars in this regard" but their website is under construction and currently contains no information whatsoever, as far as I can tell. The fact that Abloc is scrambling to build not only a Web store, but a basic website, this late in the game, screams that this wasn't planned very well. My guess would be that things were left until the last minute for some reason. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Rode this one with the missus. Very pleasant ride. A lady had a fall at the 60km turnaround point. We were the first on the scene. Marshalls were there very quickly and an ambulance was called. The wife did a quick check to see whether it was serious but it didn't look like she'd have more than a concussion and a very, very sore body tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Very nice. Better do something about those red valve caps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
