  1. G. Not really surprised - haven't ridden a race since my last 947, so about the same. I'm way stronger this year, especially with regards to endurance, so I think a sub-3 might happen.
  2. Anybody have the actual route profile? I don't see it on the website, only the route on Google Maps.
  3. Good grief, if I had your eating habits, I'd also struggle to get below 100kg. The quality of your food is incredibly low. How is your vegetable intake? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Right, guys, I need to say this: screw you. Now I want a Colnago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Found them very fragile with regards to glass cuts. Went back to GP4000s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah that's the bit I struggle with - getting over that small channel into the bigger center channel. Once you're in there it's super easy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Right, think it's the rim tape. I've been mucking with the wheels, taking tires off and then putting them back on. The rim tape goes all the way to the edge, over the inner ridge of the rim. In the repeated seating and removal, it started pulling away from the side anyway. That piece now unseats a lot more easily. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Right, so managed to mount a Mavic Yksion tire without any tools whatsoever. Question is, can I get it off without tools? Edit - right, deflated the tire and got it off with a single tire lever. Cake. So it seems these are pretty picky about which tires you fit on them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Exactly. What tires is he using now? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Well, I'm going back to tubes, even though it's a tubeless compatible rim. The Pro Ones are just too damn fragile and it looks like even a small cut means they're dead. Very disappointed with them, considering what they cost. From what I gather, American Classic uses Stans dimensions for tubeless, which is not exactly the same as UST. So a UST tire is super tight on these rims. I don't mind a tight tire. But I could at least get Gatorskins off of Mavic wheels while next to the road, nevermind having to rely on a damn bike shop to get it done, damaging the decals of the wheels in the process. Note, there is a big difference between the 2016 model of these wheels and previous versions. The issue with the newer rim is that the tire seats on it similarly to what you'd see with a mountain bike rim. Breaking that seal is super difficult though. I just used a pair of pliers to break the seal on the one side. The other side is still stuck, however. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. So I bought these wheels a few months ago. Continental 4000s are a pain in the ass to get off, once they're on. To the point that I'm a scared of damaging the wheel. Ended up taking them to a shop that got the tires off with some big tools. Went Schwalbe Pro One, which I ran tubeless. Worked fine for a couple of months and this weekend I managed to cut the front tire. Terminal. Queue more struggling to get the tire off. So now the question. What good tire actually fits these wheels, that I'll be able to get off in the event of a puncture? I'm at the point where I'm thinking of replacing the wheelset, I'll that frustrated. 12. These Canyons are pretty good value for money. Definitely on the short list for my next bike, when that day comes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. At that point you haven't won anything anymore. You've worked for it. Personally, I'd rather go to the offics for a week and buy the 20k coffee machine than spend it creating Gmail accounts...
  14. What happened, for those not following this super closely?
  15. Makes a passable cup of coffee Still need to play around with it, but it makes a great cappuccino with default everything. Only grabbed some Illy beans ad that's the best I could find. So far, I'd say it's a better cup than what you'd find at your average coffee shop. The fancier coffee shops might have it pipped.
  16. It's apparently arriving today so will test drive it tonight hopefully.
  17. Right, pulled the trigger on a Jura E6. It better be good or I'm coming after you acolytes! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Or ride from home! Not often I get to say that, so I'm savouring it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Entered. Doing the 60 with a friend. It's going to be fun times up TJ. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Reviews indicate that the Juras are expensive and not necessarily the best, but very good. Also in the market for a good machine. Delonghi seems tempting. Jura e6 at just shy of 15k is a bit rich but would go for that if I could find it a bit cheaper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Entering this weekend. Going to be a busy few weeks, what with the Satellite (my seeding race of choice), Mac Steel, this and the 947 so close to each other. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Really hoping this thing turns out successful. Would be nice to have a race I can get to from my home, without a car. Think I'll do the 60. Not keen on the boring N4 part, although it will probably go quite quickly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
