Received my American Classic 420 Aero 3 wheelset today. They look well made and are relatively light. Not sure how I feel about the colour scheme but nothing a set of decals can't fix.

Right, so still waiting for the wheels. The FD is a thing of beauty. No longer does it have a stop screw for the top instead it seems it has a screw that adjusts a cam that pushes the maximum up. Shifting and adjusting is way easier. Also, it has its own tensioning adjustment built into the unit. Why it wasn't designed this way in the first place, I'll never know.

Some new bits arrived from CRC today. They're replacement parts for a tumble I took. Wheels (AM 420 Aero 3) should arrive Wednesday, I suspect. That's the new Dura Ace front derailleur. Solves some issues experienced with shifting, apparently.

Sure. If I get her to start with me, she can push me up the climbs. It'll be a nice, relaxing ride. But she'll have to work hard to get me that sub-3.

Because she rode fastone yesterday and that is how you get them to include its result in the seeding. I just want to get her as far away from the last batch as possible.

It's not like the bike stops performing after a year. I don't really get the CUD thing when it comes to cycling. Wanting something different, I get. Wanting something new because it's the latest model? Nah. Besides, it takes time for new standards to penetrate the market. The way u see it, going for the latest and greatest, typically means you limit yourself in terms of choice.

Assume you mean make your way to the start by 7:30? A bunch of corporate and charity people clogging op the gates for the faster guys for an hour before their start, is going to cause a fair amount of aggravation.

To be fair I found each of those names on the racetec site, just with none of them registered for the Satellite Classic. Where the names weren't unique, I checked each profile. I don't think that this is necessarily conclusive, which is why I asked them to provide proof. Furthermore, these draws have some regulations that they need to comply to. I'd like to know who did the draw, when this happened, etc. And if they don't want to provide the details to me, I'm happy to open a case against them. It's hardly much effort.
