So right at the very very bottom of hoegekraal my bosh ebike started throwing a 504 error. Which is related to speed sensor and governance. Awesome feature Bosch, thnaks really enjoyed the 4 hour push up a mountain From my research I established its a know issue for the firmware version However I also discovered that because it has the purion display and not the new smart hub system it is not possible to connect to an app ( such a sick feature on a R120k bike right?, something the don't tell you when you purchase the bike). Is there someone that can help me with this or does anyone in Cape Town area know of a dealer that can do the update? TIA

Been riding the trails alone for 8 years and never had a problem, obviously you always need to be vigilant, but once you are on the farms there is little to worry about besides the of snake and cow. There is a new traverse from contermans to hoegoes via Anne bulla which is pretty direct and cuts out 90% of the road riding you had to do previously. More than happy to show you the way a couples of times till you get comfortable with it. DM me if interested

Strava this, e-bike that, KOM ... wha wha wha wha. These ebike vs non ebike topics are lame, get over it already. Go ride your bike, send it, have fun and forget about what everyone else is doing. If you upset cause you didnt get the little yellow badge on strava, you doing it wrong. Did you go fast, yes, did you beat your last time, yes. Then honestly who cares. No one goes on to the strava segments and looks at the KOM and goes oh wow you so cool, must be the best ever. NO no one cares about your strava KOM and neither should you.
