  1. Had it done in 2001, better than battling with contact lenses. Had burred nightvision from approaching cars and robots for about a year, that's a side effect but only in some people. Pretty standard op these days, the procedure is weird though.
  2. Problem with Olympic shoes is that their grip is bad and you cam easily slip with them, but they are nice and wide, also try Nike YVR (If you can still get them) and Northwave.
  3. Endurashake
  4. Will also be there
  5. Kansas, I am no expert but try this:load for 3days before the race (this depends on the distance and time you want to do but play around) and then on race day have breakfast, oats etc , before the race I drink 250ml of my mix that I race with, I then only drink on the race and do not use gels, alternatively you can use gel with water, and loose the mix. After the ride also have 250ml recovery drink. BUT the best is to ask someone in the know, not the dude in the supplement aisle at Dischem who lifts small cars as a hobby but a nutritionist that knows their stuff and understands what the body needs. I tried all sorts of stuff but found that the stuff from Pace and Power as previously said works for me but you need to experiment and drink all sort of vile sh!t to find what works.
  6. Firstly if you load I would not use USN-personal perefrence but just do not trust their stuff. Agree with FF would not carbo load if the event is less than 3.5-4 hours, but would have a high Carb b/fast. Try Endurashake from Pace and Power (In Fritz Pienaar at Sunninghill),best tasting as well. Mini Hijack: What's the tasting supplement? for me it is Cytomax Recovery drink-I think this is what nuclear waste tastes like
  7. Thought so, Thx OW
  8. Have you asked the Local Caxton Newspapers to do an article asking for witnesses? Hope that he recovers and that the F#cker who did this gets caught!
  9. They were on the bike when I got it about a year ago but took them off, now I need new tyres so they are going back on. Just cant remember which one was front and back , Problem is Para that I have 1x Crossmark and 1x Ignitor so I cant remember which one was front and rear. Looking at the two I would say the Crossmark looks more general purpose so it could go wherever?
  10. Which One is best for Front and which one for Back? My thinking is Ignitors in Front and the Crossmarks on the Back? Right or wrong?
  11. BB data for Livesharing is about 150Kbits per Hour' date=' so work that out from your Package data costs, not that much. Battery Life should be ok for 3hours depending on which phone, last year I did it for 94.7 and the battery life went down to half. [/quote'] A 1H30 94.7? shucks I wish I could do that!!!!! You should be stoked about your seeding for this year? ps: i know it was not what you intended saying/meaning, but .... it is too good to let go Gonna be asking my money back for my education, if I can write a letter that makes sense. No wonder they called me Shortbus at school.

  13. It does not have a GPS, the gps module can be bought seperate but then you are going to ride with a Phone and external GPS module Not worth it, rather Upgrade if you can.
  14. Think it is called Livesharing
  15. With Livesharing: You need to activate it and then also make your Sportstracker Profile public, or be an user and be aded as a friend, then you can view. Not sure about the data cost and Battery Life when you do Livesharing will find out and let you know
  16. Hi Cycling Addict' date=' I assume that you are saving your workout as a .kml file and then emailing it. Firstly do you have a Sportstracker account, makes sharing easy. If you want them to check the route you can replay it, if you are uploading to google earth, it is similar to the Sportracker site that you upload to. [/quote'] Thanks WS - I have a Sportstracker account and use Google Earth - To view via a pc is great but once out on the track it is a bit harder to view - so I guess you must try and memorise the route or print it some how? The oNly way would be to Replay the Route in the Map Options, not much help as I had the same a couple of weeks back when I did a new MTB route with a group and when I wanted to redo again without them I couldnt, would be great if you could do it like a Voice Navigation, maybe an Idea

  18. Sorry see above reply, trying to finish work and reply on the Hub, proof that men cannot multitask.
  19. Dirty, The museum of Telecomms? I will look around the Office and ask , that model is about 3-4 years old, would not recommend the features are old and the only redeeming feature is it is virtually Indestructible, I have a clip somewhere where they drive over the Phone, Burn it and immerse it in Water and it still works.
Dirty Twin, then I would wait to Upgrade there are some really cool phones coming, 5800 is here, E75 is coming and the N97 will be a winner, if you want a workhorse go E71.
  22. Dirty Twin, I have used the N79 now for 3 weeks, ridden in the rain and taken photos etc and I have my choice of phones, I have decided to stay with the N79. Matter of Opinion I guess. Still if the N79 is such a bad phone as the writer suggests then you can always get another and download Sportstracker and get the HRM. As I said you can make any Nokia Phone with GPS an Active Phone does not have to be an N79.
  23. Ok, the PR Dept has given one N79 Active for interested Hubbers to try out. It will be your responsibility to collect the Handset and return it to me in Sunninghill or West Rand. Use will be for a maximium of 1 week. Please this is only if you are really interested, otherwise you are denying someone else the opportunity. PM Me
