  1. If u mean me your right , if you mean the other guy also right (but I won't say it to his face) . Swissy, as you push down at about 2'0 clock on the crankarm on the bike on a climb and excert force on the frame, mine flexes I can hear it as it squeeks against the brake pad
  2. MWNN, the mechanics of riding play a role, you will get small guys flexing a wheel and heavier okes not having a problem. The issue is that some okes flex the wheels, I had a set of Shimanos and I flexed them like pancakes and they guy who I gave it to is much taller and aggro when he rides and he is happy with them.
  3. Ksyrium Elites flex when I stand and I weigh 74 kgs, that being said they do not go out of true, agree Eastons the way to go and I hear Fulcrums are quite ridgid as well.
  4. Swissy: Good thing they didn't say anything about chocolate so ur safe.
  5. Agree with Cervelo, that road is not what it used to be especially with all the added traffic and the markings on the road just confuses. You should go out to Kromdraai, Muldersdrift roads. Or just ride up and down Hillsnacks, to hell with that flat road in any case.
  6. Stoffel, contact Raleigh or ur LBS and they will sort out. Their product might not be that good but their aftersales service and warrantees are much better than some of the other brands out there. I think they are in PE and your LBS should have their no.
  7. QUOTE=narra]I saw the Cytomax Gel's at Cajees in Fourways on Saturday' date=' the want R 20 a go [/quote'] DisChem has got them in now-at Princess Crossing for R11-99. If they have then all the DisChems should be able to get,
  8. The moment I typed that I thought I should put in a disclaimer that read: apart from Dinner training.. Promise I will
  9. I don't care how much you fight and what you all say I won't eat my F#@&ing Vegetables!
  10. Thanks 1Hill, only saw your response now.
  11. Look at Swissy, scientific proof that if you do not eat veggies and only chocolate you can still be a good athlete, maybe a bit claw footed but still good. Bikemonster: if you look at the ad there is research that went with it, all I want to know if anyone has experience with it to consider as an option (to veggies)
  12. Back to my question, I saw in Bicycling an ad for Moducare, endorsed by Mr Tissink nogal, so it must be good. Anyone know or have experince with this?
  13. Bikemonster: Most of the veggies we eat are cooked, roasted etc to death, so how much nutrients do you really get in? I eat more fruit than most so substitute veggies with fruit.
  14. and i don't eat veggies at all... Great Minds......what can I say!
  15. Titus: You forgot about the beer and getting naked. But for some it should read: Drink Lemonade and frolick in our pajamas. (One can never be to careful huh Jedi? Kranswurm: Just teasing I know what it is
  16. Caadman and WW: Thanks for the Info sounds like you guys are carbon copies of each other. Swissy and Spinnekop: I'm gonna give this Zinc thing a bash. Spinnekop you take it daily then? Bikemonster: Like your paradigm shift, will start dinner training but very low level intensity. Kranswurm: What's this grass thing? Do u smoke this remedy
  17. Fattie: That's why i dont eat vegetables WW and Greenie: Do u use the products that you recommend? Mampara: I thought it was a flu injection, have you had shots before or do you just give them?
  18. Thanks Mom, but how does that help with your immune system?
  19. Please help is there anything that can boost my immunity, I have allready had flu once this year and that's now enough, just as everything falls into place then whammo-FLU. . Please do not tell me to eat my vegetables. I take a multivitamin and thats all.
  20. You get 2 types of cyclists....the ones that has fallen already and the ones who is gonna fall! Three Types add those who are going to fall again.
  21. Mampara if you go to a place in Heathway centre close to Cresta, its called Treasuers For You and they sell nice German stuff, found some nice undershirts and a Balaclava of good quality and it set me back under R200. But this is good stuff made by TCM and they have other crap that keeps the missus occupied as as well.
  22. Haga:At least no crash but it can be frustrating. And the funniest is you try and get rid of these pesky little buggers by riding harder and then all of a sudden they reappear to create further havoc. I think intelligence and pain threshholds are inversely related with these types.
  23. At yesterdays Tshwane Capital Classic I was amazed to see the antics of this guy and want to offer the following advise: 1. Surging to the front of the pack at the waterpoint to try and grab water at high speed is not advised. This not only pisses the group off but also the helper who now has lost use of their left arm. 2. Weaving across the bunch does not make you go faster. 3. Check when you put your bottle back in the cage as we all do not like practising riding over bottles as this is not a regular occurence with people that know how to ride their f@@king bike 4. Riding downhill like Meg Ryan in City of Angels, could have you end up like old Meg.
  24. Mwnn, let us know how the Sram performs, I'm curious. BTW Nice Bike.
