  1. Fatigue might be in the Boks favour, Wales have played tough games against teams ranked above them, other than Ireland the Boks have played all lower teams albeit not convincingly though. Wales have also lost a number of key players, four at last count, who have returned to their clubs.
  2. For my gardener Anton to get around, 26" Mongoose frame built with mix altrus and acera 8 spd parts and Alex rims.
  3. Having played each other 32 times, won 28, drawn 1 and lost 3 the Boks should be the favorites. A loss to Wales last time they played in 2016 the Boks need victory which is why I'm picking them. I need a win for my Superbru pool which i lead by slender margin.
  4. Bikes with and without engine toy run Benoni
  5. France drawing with Japan, puts our 1 point win over France last week into perspective. Scotland a cracker against Australia beating them by 29 (same margin as Boks who played a much lower Italy). Boks play Wales next week who had had a good game against the AB's so they need to step it up.
  6. France ranked lower than SA playing 3 games within 8 days 2 of those against NZ and only lose by 1 point to the Boks even with been a man down for 10 min, yup less than perfect for the Boks.
  7. Not overly impressed, 1 point difference against a team ranked below you is no high five moment besides France came into this game having played the AB's on Tues, that gotta affect them and even AB's had a less than stunning game in their win over Wales.
  8. It would be more embarrassing to be awarded hosts only to have it rescheduled to be played elsewhere. Excluding crime only as recently as last year the government banned us from hosting the cup in 2023 due to "transformation". It took a lot of begging to get them to lift it, even parading Ramaphosa as the face of the bid is no guarantee something like this will not reoccur again and rugby will become a political football.
  9. My item was ready same day. I ordered it in the morning and received a call around lunch time to say its ready for collection.
  10. I can see why AC would want to hold onto his job as long as he can, based on his record (only 9 wins and 2 draws out of 22) unlike most other coaches he will find it very cold on the outside in trying to secure another lucrative coaching job.
  11. Contrary to what many believe they say a bit of stress is good for you so I'll keep watching, It also helps the next day when i usually get my Strava segment PB's.
  12. Under Coetzee we have lost 11 tests out of 22 and set new loss records, SARU must be blind not too see something is rotten.
  13. Poor coach, poor game plan, poor discipline = poor result. 3 tries in the ;last 10 min. AC will probably look at this as a positive from the AB slaughter a few months back as at least the Boks got 3 points this time.
  14. I too am selective. Why I would do the race again and I'm mid pack finisher, it's well organised, route is rider friendly, plenty of safe secure parking, non cyclists can entertain themselves at Carnival City, food and drink vendors on site reasonably priced, proceeds go to charity and entry fee is comparable to other events. If the conditions were Arctic for your son, spare a thought for the marshals who were in position while it was still dark and remain there until the last one went past. Those are the right reasons. Selfish reasons, its practically on my doorstep.
  15. There is a solitary result, ML was last start group for 103km so maybe they confused it with the next start batch which was the 65km. As Gerald mentioned Racetec are usually pretty good. Log a query and I'm sure they will sort it out.
  16. Were there a number of riders in ML group, if so then even discounting those without chip there should be many more listed on Racetec.
  17. Well done Gerald and GW, well organised and marshaled, wind was tough in stages. Missed my target by 8 mins but after boerrie roll and coke I'm ok with that.
  18. Results are out http://racetec.co.za/
  19. For MTB'ers spoke to some mates who have ridden the trails in the area, barring any rain overnight it should be nice and dry but quite chilly if this weather holds.
  20. JOHANNESBURG - Brand Director for Castle Lager and Castle Free Vaughan Croeser says the new non-alcoholic Castle Free tastes exactly the same as the alcoholic beer. He says the same ingredients were used in the Castle Free. He says there is a quite a market for low/no alcohol beer. He says in the South African context, South African Breweries wants to encourage moderate drinking and hopefully build a market for alcohol-free beer. http://ewn.co.za/2017/10/27/listen-no-hangover-sab-introduces-alcohol-free-lager
  21. Registration done and dusted, nice when one of the collection points is on your doorstep. Even got a Cyclelab R50 balloon pop discount on a purchase.
  22. Hi Gerald, this is not about whether one can pick up numbers on race day (although most do cater for this. I've done RFS, Emperors, R4V, Midvaal and Meals on Wheels all which as a pre entry open seeded you could collect on race day) but about the the collection communication, the Cyclevent's and the SMS do not make mention of it, only your club website and here on the Hub is it mentioned. I belong to a number of whattsapp groups where this question keeps popping up.
  23. With the Lions out I will supporting Sharks. Go Sharks
  24. It's confusing really, the cyclevents website and the SMS do not include Sunday, only on the Germistonwheeler site, does it mention, excluding CSA lic, that you can collect Sunday.
