  1. Triple cranks rule Big Ben
  2. Nope no signal loss yet, only have occasional high HR reading. I ride with mine fitted to my bars but i know some riders put their's in their camelpack mesh pockets.
  3. Battery life never worried me but will remember to switch GPS off when i do repetitive routes, i usually can go Mon - Fri, then pop it in to charge for the weekend. JasonW mine is pretty accurate comparing it to my Cateye, which was accurate to my Polar i used before.
  4. Great device, 705's definitely on my to get list. 305 cost's less than Polar 725 but has more functionality and very easy to operate. No worrying about speed sensors not picking up, finnicky downloading to PC, and battery unit replacing and adjusting wheel sizes when changing bikes. Only down side i can see is the limited battery life before the unit needs to be charged.
  5. His team mate Boonen was not a happy chappy as well, even joined in the chasing pack.
  6. Won on a Specialized
  7. Could have been the Tour of Flanders you were watching.
  8. agreed' date=' but i'm not sure which is the tougher endurance event: the epic or marriage?[/quote'] Lets see if you and your boet will still be on speaking terms after next years epic
  9. Nice. If they could survive the epic togethether it can only bode well for the future.
  10. Nice to hear some good stories instead of all the negatives the past few weeks.
  11. I know a few riders from there (Sasol and Highveld club). I'll phone tonight and find out.
  12. I believe your question has been answered by consensus then.
  13. Thats if the shop knows of this site and is aware of a complaint.
  14. I see the problem as pointed out comes with right to reply. Sites such as Hello Peter are set cater for this, this site is not.
  15. LoL @ Flying Cheetah and PB.

  17. Thanks PB for the use of the bus and the encouragement from the occupants. Really enjoyed the day riding with other hubbers . Not so nice is that CC have me down as DNF
  18. Not nice to hear BB, hope he makes a speedy recovery and is back on his bikes soon.
  19. That was a 1st
  20. I've have more than my share of tyre changing, at least once a week.
  21. Never ever used levers to fit tyre's but some tyres especially cheaper ones are difficult.
  22. only 61cm taller then I am The tallest living man is Leonid Stadnyk (Ukraine, b.1971), who measured 2.57 m (8 ft 5.5 in) the year he was born was most probably a good horse season in the Ukraine He most probably ate his first horse by his 1st birthday He was normal size as a kid but had a brain operation as a teenager and this was believed to cause a growth spurt.
  23. Clever guy too, a vet by trade but had to give it up as he got frost bite in his feet walking to work in his socks as he could not afford to buy special size shoes.
  24. Saw an article on him, the guy weighs something like 200kg.
  25. Nice, except for their entry level bikes Merida dont usually skimp on components. I have seen some bike shops (no names )chance it and swop out for lesser components.
