Happens to me regularly at G-Spot/Eden (whilst riding *up* the single tracks). The look of disgust you get when you ask the walker to get out of the way blows my mind every time.

Also interested in that. Looking back at my first "Argus" in 2010 – there were just over 28,000 finishers! Huge difference.

I was also surprised at the poor state of that section of road. Narrowly missed pothole at > 40 km/h in the oncoming lane. 🙈

Saw a guy pushing his buddy up Chappies, even though he wasn't taking part today (no number on his jersey and pulled over at the top). 😂

Had a great ride today. Started in 1C – weather conditions were perfect. RE: the (lack of) ability of some riders, I noticed so many 0 tours riders, that I wonder if they need to factor that in for seeding? Sure, you can klap a great finish in a few "smaller" PPA rides, but riding at 35/40 km/h in a big bunch on some challenging sections (if you don't know the route) is a recipe for disaster. Anyway, glad I stayed upright, as did the majority. Seemed to be lots of punctures too. Shout out to the crowds today. I can't remember seeing so many people out, since my first back in 2010.

10am looks like the sweet spot for tomorrow's weather. 42km riders will be happy. 😜

Nice, just had a look at my PPA seeding and went from G to F after today's Tour de PPA – it was a fast one! Looking forward to seeing what my CTCT start group and time are! 🤞

Plus you don't need water bottles (lighter) – just keep your mouth open to drink.

I live in Stellenbosch and regularly ride to Franschhoek over Helshoogte and back. Haven't spotted anyone or anything dodgy in the past two or so years. I'm actually quite surprised at how popular it is with not only cyclists, but runners too. It's not exactly Sea Point promenade busy, but I've seldom been alone on the road.
