    So I feel really guilty because I am allowed to still run... Hardly come across a sole when I run Shall I join you all in solidarity and run around my 12 x 6 back garden for the next 21 days [emoji23]

    I see comrades took down their post they posted today to say they are in lockdown. They copped so much flack that all the comments were negative

    I don't. i think they are bring ignorant and selfish. By not making an announcement they are going to jeopardise the whole point of the lockdown as people will still try and put in their required mileage. Every single international event has been cancelled this year. Like I said earlier. I have lost all respect for the organisers

    Genuine question now. My respect for the CMA has all but gone as a result over this whole thing and their stubbornness to delay the inevitable of cancelling the race. It's about a 90% certainly that the Olympics will be postponed to next year now.. Yet they continue to hold on. What's everyone else's opinions?

    Nope you can't... That's the point of the lockdown... You might be able to run around the block repeatedly.. or do intervals up and down your street

    Yup...I went out Sunday morning on my own and didn't come across another runner. In fact in my 70 minutes of running I went across...a walker... And 3 separate people cycling. Interestingly enough the cyclists were clearly people that don't ordinarily cycle. Came across about 5 or 6 cars maximum

    It's amazing how dated it is already... In terms of some of the conversation and the technology... But still a masterpiece

    Daughter and I have been watching breaking bad the last couple of weeks (just started season 4). It's been great to watch it again.. I'm glad I waited so long to watch it again.. It's been awesome. My daughter has uncanningly predicted the demise of every single character or situation correctly so far....Its a bit unnerving In other news...I think I'm going to cook meth while in isolation [emoji23]

    I bought travel insurance from AIG the other day....

    Wait.. do mechanics ALSO have to pay the epic a fee for the "privelidge" of providing mechanic services to teams?

    Agreed...I have factored in spares bought especially for the event... But then the compromise is that that person should be given all the spares that were going to be used

    How can you retain money for services not rendered. It doesn't work like that. That LBS should be named and shamed

    Ha ha ha...I think health Care services would be my last job application right now

    I'm kind of feeling the same.. My body was tired... And my matron training was really difficult in the winter... But..I was feeling good.... So disappointed.. But looking forward to taking it easy for the next couple of months

    Not anymore.. It's a business... And the business model has changed recently. I have a few mates who are close to the business and while it's about the event... They are a lot more focused on the money now

    Don't worry.. It's a world wide problem. We're meant to be in isolation and kids are having Corona parties and parents are arranging play dates, or even worse, sending them to grannies to be minded

    You're a better man than me....I don't mind hiking for long distances like that... But don't get as much joy in running them. I run to compete against myself and others..I hike to enjoy my surroundings Run - road Hike - mountains

    Ummm...I don't think you need to question the reason why I run thanks very much... But I'm sure as hell not gonna put my body through 90km for "fun". You run 90km for achievement... To be able to proudly say you are a comrades finisher, or work towards a green number and proudly wear that green number. Second point.. if it were cancelled...It would actually be quite irresponsible if big disparate groups of people decided to run the route, distributed for tens of miles along a very dangerous stretch of road without any road closure or police presence
