  1. Johan can I give you a set to try?
  2. Guess what it can be in red now. pic is 3mg dont know how to make it smaller. Here howth SABB works
  3. I got a pair of really cool Pearl Izumi 8-ball socks for fathers day and I wore them the first time on the Knysna road race and had an absolute screamer! I rode a lot better due to the weave pattern and brilliant wicking power of socks, much better than my cheap ol' cotton ones. I have therefore scientifically proven that Pearl Izumi socks make you go quicker! Placebo... Hey hey don't mock socks Rotor socks will be here soon!!!
  4. http://www.rotorbike.com/2006/qrings_test.htm Have a look at this study
  5. I am wondering which topic has had the most reads and replies. 'Would you recomend Q rings' is on 2021 reads and 137 replies Is that good or what!!!!
  6. I think behind it all Johan loves them. This must be the most postings Ive seen him do on one topic. He's trying to convince himself otherwise!! LOL Hey we all mates here and all comments are greatly appreciated good or uhm not so good. My advise try them
  7. [ Can you guys provide links to the research behind the Q-rings?[/quote yes http://www.rotorbike.com/2006/qrings_test.htm
  8. Johan I must correct your comment they are not expensive. Expensive is in the eye of the beholder. In fact they are less expensive than some of the standard 'high'end chain rings available at present. But Q Rings have definite advatage no matter what you say. May I ask if you have tried or fitted any or even seen them. If you have you will be impressed at the quality of the workmanship, engineering and style. If you are skeptical about Rotor systems are you open to any other advances in bicycling technology? It seems with cyclists weght , power, carbon fibre are okay to advances but where the real problems are i.e. in the pedalling action everyone is closed to the fact that this can be improved
  9. Peter it is about more than one factor. Yes cardio is a limitation for that I have the Powerlung to train respiratory muscles for improved breathing benefits. The Q rings is not only allowing one to push harder at a certain postion or for a certain period. It is a system of pedalling that improves the mechanics of pedallin, less muscle fatigue, easier pedalling, more effecient pedalling and great deal more. Let me ask you why are the cams in a car engine offset and not round? If your are looking at the science then you need to look at the scientific articles, as they prove the results. The best way to solve any concerns is to try. Without trying one cannot look at science and theory alone. Man learnt he as human cannot fly like a bird by try. Are you saying that the guys riding them are not gettiing the results they say they are? Why then are there immediate improvements the day the Q Rings are placed on their bikes?
  10. Haa haa Marius!! Boost yourself Why should I let you test them? Come on sell yourself
  11. http://www.rotorbike.com/rotornews/imagenes/R.gif Dream bikes with Q-Rings... http://www.rotorbike.com/rotornews/imagenes2006/img_rn_62/dream.gifCOLNAGO Benelux offers the high end Dream HX with Q-Rings as standard material. The image to the right comes from page 7 of the product catalogue, where you can see the choice for these innovative rings. More and more manufacturers and their regional component decision makers have slowed down to second-guess their original assumptions on Q-Rings, taking them on for their own merits and not shunning them for copies of previous products. We suspect they've figured, "If Marianne has won on these things, so will we". See the whole catalogue. Endorfin Bikes, a German manufacturer of exclusive, custom carbon and aluminium bikes, will also offer the Q-Rings and ?gilis cranks in 2007. In Endorfin's build options you find only the best of products, like Lightweight wheels, Syntace components, DT, etc.
  12. Bikemax. This article is relating to Rotor Cranks NOT Q rings. Rotor Cranks is a complete system where the crank arms'move' eliminating the deadspot. It sounds like this guy has not ridden a set but rather hides behinds theories which have been proved otherwise. The Rotor Crank riders climb better faster and easier than normal cranks. Are you guys willing to do some testing on Q Rings or Rotor Cranks? I am willing to loan you a set to prove the workings thereof. You guys are believers in power training, so why not use a product that benefits this by making you more effecient. One of the biggest 'complaints' is that guys say my power is down, but they forget to look at the speed, heart rate and cadence they are at, at that time. Both are usually lower. Therefore they are much more effecient. Bikemax I am willing for you to try them and give an honest opinion. Do you have Computrainer and spin scan? Call me on 073 373 5999 or pm me so we can talk details.
  13. That is exactly why Q Rings are Q rings. They are not in any way the same as any previous elliptical rings. There are studies showing reduced knee strain not increased . This is also comments of riders here with knee problems that can now ride again. I have guys sending me their printouts from computrainer tacx etc and they all have better times over the same route with increased power, reduced heart rate. You need to read on http://www.rotorbike.com/2006/q_previous.htm for more info.
  14. Yes Thats kinda true. But becuase with q rings the bigger gear or portion of the blade is in your power stroke between 3-6 on theclock and the smallest gear or blade size in the dead spot you do have an increase in acceleration through the dead spot which makes it easier to pedal through, making the stroke more uniform and the pedal pattern more consistent.
  15. The positions allow to find optimum pedal positon. If you like to sit and need more power then pos 1 if you like to stand need more power position 4 etc. TT rider use pos 4 or 5 because of where they sit. see www.rotorbike.com for more info
  16. Exactly Thats why we get opinions from others.Look at product reviews on the hub and you will see what the q ring riders have to say. And they look cool
