  2. I really thought you guys were concerned about this? I'm dissapointed at nonames!! I am ready to take this to the Metro police and dept transport. But whats the use if no names are listed here Or does it mean things are not so bad? Surely you all have been touched at some time by someone killed or seriously hurt on their bike lets put all of that here
  3. All these comments are great. We find products that are unique and will help the athlete. To clear up skeptism. We started out hoping that we would be believed. We had tons of skeptism but nowwe constantly get emails were guys quoting data off their powermeters hr monitor etc where there is improvement,. All are showing better than what we quote. What bikemax says about pushing down is because the hardest part of the stroke is the deadspot at 12 on the clock. here you want to push forwad but you can only push down. So therefore we always have a very big push stroke instead of an even stroke. Q rings oval allow for a very small deadspot and a three tooth larger power stroke, which is between 3 & 6, on the clock resulting in higher accelration through the deadspot reducing the effort needed as the dead spot reduces to 50t on a standard 53 Q ring. So yes they do work, yes they increase power yes they do make it easier on the knees yes they do reduce lactate levels. thanks for the support

  8. This absolute Bulls hi t. I can only post my sympathies to the family. The same thing happened to a good frend of mine two years ago at Tour Durban, Donna Henderson. Donna qualified as a chiroprcator the friday before Tour Durban worked for me on my stand and went out for an innocent ride in teh fun ride and was killed at Mount Edgecombe. What will it take before cyclists are regarded as road users. We have rights and no protection. I only hope that thes drivers get put up for mrder, we still wait to see if this 'innocent' driver will get away with it.

  11. I would suggest simple foods that are easy to digest. Breadrolls, Evox enegy bars. It is suggested: sub 1 hour, electrolytes 1 -2 2hrs carbo drinks and gels 3hr plus carbodrinks gels and solid food.   13. Have you guys tried Evox Supercarbo. Its great good taste well priced and just the carbs you need. To add vitamins and minerals to a drink you use on the bike is shown to slow down absorption. The simpler the better. That with all the extras is fine for training. They also have great energy bars which are like food, as well as glycopro which is great recovery drink with the right amount of protein and carbs. I arranged for them to sponsor range for a JHB CT ride and the guys were very happy. I think Supercarbo 1kg is R70. or R80

Well priced bit like eggnog but thats the protien.The berry is quite mwakak but orange is good only need 250ml the colder the better so freeze a small water bottle and let it defrost in the ca rwhile you ride. Recovery drinks must be had within 10 - 20 min of finishing. the best it seems is a 1;4 1:3 protein to carbs. alsodont premix. ALso a protein drink last meal at night is good for muscle reocvery.

  16. This is a comon injury to cyclists. Try lifting the seat about 0.5cm - 1cm. Secondly is cycling your only sport. This is often caused by strong quads pulling the knee cap. A strength trianing programme will help. to balanceth strengths in the legs between quads and hamstrings. Try a kniesiologist or chiropractor to see which are weaker muscles. lastly or first try rotor cranks www.rotorbike.com they eliminate most knee pains.

  20. Have you tried Powerlung. It is a respiratory muscle trianer that strengthens the breathing muscles. It is also used as a warm up tool. It does not mean you must stop medication but it gets the muscles stronger so that these symptoms are reduced.   21. Thats all great to hear about Q Rings. They are not like Biopace as the biggest gear is in your powerstroke and the smallest in the dead spot. A 53 t blade on teh road gives the equivalent to a 58.8 output and a 44 MTb a 48 good hey!!! see www.rotorbike.co.za or www.impressions.co.za
