  1. Yes but there is a huge difference see www.rotorbike.com
  2. Who s heard bad things. please tell me what you have heard. I would like to know and be able to answer that
  3. Great there is only one way to go put Q Rings on. The 130bcd which is basically the Shimano Bolt pattern it fits FSA and Shimano. Q rings are oval chainrings giving the right power in the right place, easier riding and great hill climbing. If you want to know more search the hub for comments on qrings. or go to www.rotorbike.com or www.impressions.co.za The road dble set retails at R1500.00 for a set
  4. The whole crank red? No not yet
  5. We have a great single speed Q Ring. It will look so cool on your bike. 38t remember 35t in deadspot and 41t in power stroke. for downhill and single speed

    2 Grand

oval chainrings, they increase your power stroke tooth size and reduce the dead spot

There is only one thing Q Rings go faster and easier. Start where the bike needs it in the pedalling
  8. Are there any KZN hubbers here? It seems Cape are leading hubbers and then Gauteng, am I right.

    Tandems

Thanks we are researching as Rotor are thinking of modifying the cranks and bb to fit tandem. They need to know numbers

    Tandems

Please let us know if you think tandems need more products to upgrade with. We seem to think tandems are at the short end of the stick, not much products.
  11. the spray i think is the stuff thewash into the fabric for that effect. as richard beswick.
  12. I was told by a clothing manufacturer (who makes for Nike etc)that teeh fabric is just washed in a special solution to create this cool, wick away system. after a few washes its gone. So is it worth it. I know diadora sell their under garments with a spray. Doesn't that tell you something
  13. Rotor asked me for figures on tandems as it seems we are the largest tandem riding country in the world. AT the moment they not doing tandem, but i am sure they will if I can get numbers as it seems very little tandem cranks available that are reliable.
  14. SABB (metal bearings)will retail approx R850.00 and the Agilis cranks at R2500.00 Ceramic upgrade maybe R1200.00
  15. I forgot Ceramic bearings for Zipps it looks at around R500 to R600 per bearing see www.ceramicspeed.com
  16. Bearing are well sealed but like everything nothing is fool proof. Cyclocross hope to have final info this week. Have a meeting tonite I hope with CGC
  17. The design stops them falling out. The graphic is exagerated, also teeh crank is there. The energy is actually saved and the rolling resistance reduced because the bearing always runs parallel. All axles bend when pressure is applied so you can imagine when pressure is on the left crank the axle touches the bottom of the left si de bearing and the top of the right side. Now they move with the axle and stay parallel. Its more about the life of the BB pro's do about 2000km on a bb now 5 x times that! With ceramic bearings who knows!! forever? Will have ceramicspeed bearing next month
  18. by rethreading the rounded threads often the threads are in the wrong position due ot no starting point on the rethread. So we put a bit of loctite on the thread, turn in the SABB casing and then when the bearings need to be changed they just pop out. No need to change the whole BB.
  19. The bearing are housed in a ball and socket type casing so as the axle moves in one direction the bb moves with it keeping the left and right side parallel. the web shows great graphic simulation the cranka when fitted if it puts to much pressure on teeh bearing case then there is adjustmnet to lengthen the axle slightly and vice versa
  20. Richard Beswick tells me he had fantastic riding this weekend with the new SABB (self aligning BB) and the adjustable Agilis crankset. The BB keeps the bearings parallel when the crank arms and axle move on pedalling see http://www.rotorbike.com/2006/sabb.htm This extends the life of the BB to over 5 times. They are ceramic upgradable. Stops squeaking BB and revives frames where the BB threads are rounded. The adjustable Agilis cranks are adjustable so that there is perfect presure on the Bearing cups to stop drag and improve rolling resistance. They are machine from one piece of aluminum and provide exceptional stiffness and lightness. see http://www.rotorbike.com/2006/agilis.htm
