  5. But remember its not all about the weight!! as you will see when he rides and only in the big blade that says it all.
  6. Oh!! his lsb got a call while on the ride from one of his mates with him that he was dropping them all. they called them an unfair advantage and ordered a set. Call Leigh at Sweat and Gears 0114251152. He did the damage!!! He also riding them
  7. Ob? dunno he needs to check his heart rate and speed for ride that was the same before and after q rings. Most guys are getting lower hr higher power and cadence and speed. Road R1500.00 set MTB R1750.00set TT and XTR are R1950.00

Any other ideas that could be upgraded
  12. How many guys do you think wuold be interested in doing an official bike servicing course?
  13. Thanks I am sure your 'ideas' if thats the word are good. It would be great to be able to do some testing on that line and more if we could and how could we? Obviously to show all advantages and disadvantages (if any)
  14. well the results we have seen have been literally the day the rings go on. So it would need to be results within a week of placement or summin. Have you guys done any tests with them?
  15. Thanks fand, this is beyond me all I know that we have great response with good results so they do work. In fact the replies show results far higher than we quote. Maybe I should ask all Q ring riders to send before and after results and give a prize for the biggest margin improvement. Must be tangible results that we can check by downloads etc
  16. Guy in Pink, the Biopace was dramatically different. I can't answer you questions in the science of it but I will pass it on to Rotor . it is great to have these descussions as it proves the interest and hopefully that we are putting out the truths. Biopace placed their big gear in the dead spot position. They also did not sceintifically design the 'oval' for a perfect pedal stroke. Rotor if you watch in spin scan is a true circle. I will let you have answer soon to your comments. Thanks again for that I am interetsed to find the answer. By the way whats your occupation with all this science and technology informations
  17. well Our first set of Q Rings with Cashandra Slingerland was October 2005 she is still on the same set. We had four sets in last years Epic those guys rode the same sets this year and there were more. If you go to the product reviews you will see comment about wear. Not good for us if they last like that Haa ha. Richard Beswick has been riding his MTB set since July 2006. signs are allgood
  18. But will the guys pay? Christie, its the same with servicing R200 or so its too cheap thats why we battle to find excellent mechanics. Those bike fitting systems are R30000-R50000 so a fit has to be probably R300 - R550
  19. Guy in pink, No way there are studies showing the increase in power. It has nothing to do with what you say as standard round rings consume most energy at the dead spot where you try to go forward while pushing down. Now with q rings the drive and power are placed in the correct position so that the bike moves forward effeciently and with the most economical power source.Power increases dramatically, effeciency improves and speed. The dead spot is reduced and with the increase of the accelaration through the dead spot is increased and there fore made easier to travel through all but eliminating the waste of power and energy. riders ar now seeing these results on their own powermeters etc. Get a set and prove it to yourself
  20. On a mtb they are great from what feedback I get. The guys are impressed with better traction and an extra gear. Also they say when you need the small gear you don't feel like you are spinning and going nowhere slowly. We had a crazy rush before the Epic and so far no one has called to replace blades or k-k on me to say they were no good. So thats good news that they are lasting. The Wharthog guys had some very good things to say.
  21. Johannesburg first then we will expand the concept.
  22. Guys we even offer a 30 day trial period if you not happy I will refund the money spent. Obviously the rings must be in good condition, etc etc.
  23. We are thinking of opening a centre that will allow you to train, get prgrammes and be assessed by professionals. You will be able to get VO2 max, lactate, performance diagnostic, max performance diagnostics, be taught strength and functional training and plyometrics. What do you hubbers think? Would you make use of it? What would you think is fair to pay? would you prefer to pay per test or have a 1 year contract etc It will be open for allsports and for all fitness requirements.
  24. its trial and error. It should make a difference. If that doesn't help try position 2
  25. 4feet, you can look at moving the Q Ring to position 4 and this might help your 'spin out'.
