It is a bike. With a motor. So.....bare with me here. It's a bike plus a motor.....bike + motor...bike motor......bikemotor......motorbike!
Just because it's pedal assist and can offer "only" 250w doesn't magically make it a bicycle.
I guess if you want to be correct then you can call it a motorbicycle.
Says the man flogging the man that is flogging the horse.
It is a motorbike.... just a very slow (read k@k) one!
My problem with the ebikers at Sani was the riders were poor at “shredding the trail” and after getting ahead with their extra watts were slow on the track.
Most MTBers have spent a few years working up to multi day events and learned a few skills along the way.
On the mountain? Sure, whatever makes you happy. On a race? If you must. Just stay out of my way if you use your engine to pass me on the hill.
Been off the Hub for a while but been on my bike quite a bit.
Still in love with my Santa Cruz, just gave her an eagle facelift!
Are you coming all the way to ride the 40? Come join us on the long one and get your moneys worth!

I have a friend who does most of the local half marathons on an ebike.
He ruined his hips in a quad biking accident and would never be able to enjoy MTB without it.
He has lost weight and is healthier and happier now that he is taking part.
He normally finishes back of the field and not once has an event organizer taken him to task or refused him a start!
Nobody seems bothered so nobody does anything about it. When they start being a problem regulation will control them I suppose.

Journalist?
Thanks Meyer
Thanks guys.
I forgot to mention he needs a hydraulic solution, currently on xtr, but that can change.
One of the links cites the problem if back wheel control so he may need two levers on his right side.
A friend of mine has lost two fingers of his left hand in a paragliding accident. He is an avid mountain biker and is struggling to control his braking. Any of you know of a modification to control both front and back brakes off of a single lever? It would be important to be able to adjust the braking ratio between front and back brake. Any help appreciated!
I had crests when I weighed over 90. Always needed truing.
Changed to Arches and kept them even after I lost 10 kg
Thanks guys! Made my trainer session much more bearable.
Somebody?
Missing the Argus because of an accident but no way I am missing this!
Better bring your climbing legs!
When in May is it?
3 & 4 May.
20, 40 and 75 km on Saturday and the road challenge on the Sunday.
Road race is back up the Magoebaskloof pass, awesome ride!
Challenge Nick: 75 km on Sat and 100 km road Sunday on your Dale.
Hey EZRider, after a long layoff started in B on the 45km and did okay - first race on the 29er.
How was your ride, might have seen you come in, we were standing by the photographer just after the final bridge that takes you into the start/finish area and saw quite a few Flash`s come in - only problem you were all so muddy not even your mother would recognise you.
New 29er? Dale?
It was the muddiest ride I've ever done and that's saying a lot after Dullstroom.
Spent more time on the second half of the course and that was the downhill bit!
Glad you enjoyed your ride.
See you at our Magoebaskloof challenge in May?
