Try bru but those slicks can be used over and over and will last a very long time. Most folk got back up tubes too. I wouldn't put slicks for a single event only but they are useful for indoor and road training. If you know what you are doing you won't waste your goo either... Ahhh what the hell... You're right... Use your knobbies or get a road bike, Colnago or Dale and run with the tight pant crowd...

It's not the roadies judging but the MTBers. I thought the mountain goats had a live and let live thing going but here they are using cool and uncool... I'll be there on my Dale in all my fancy kit and the only guy I will shake my head at is the one chewing up his R 500.00 UST tyres and grinding his dirty XT drive chain to hell because he thinks it will be cool to pass roadies like that. The only roadies he will pass are slow ones and what's the point of that? Use slicks if you want, it's cheaper and faster, clean and lube your bike properly and whoever recommends a smoke beforehand, or any other time, needs to be shot.

Whether USADA followed due process or twisted rules is open to debate and that debate is taking place. What is worrying is that cyclists and cycling fans, such as yourself, seem to be far more outraged by the potentially flawed process of exposing and excising a fraud and a cheat than the fraud and the cheat himself. Why? Surely your moral compass should be spinning for the many clean athletes, sponsors, and fans that were hard done by and in some cases destroyed by LA (Greg Lemond and Simeoni amongst others). Leave the validity of the process up to those who determine and marshal the process or get involved in formulating policy yourself. You outrage against USADA comes across as desperate. I ride Shimano XT pedals on my MTB because they are bullet proof. Why don't you look at Shimano road pedals? The 105 version is light and very reliable, been riding them on my road bike for two years with no problem. That said, I have just ordered a pair of Look Keo carbon blades for my Cannondale. Just because they are sexy!

3kg will make a significant dent into any climbing run. I cut 2minutes per kg lost up Agatha which is a 10 km climb with 750 m climbing.

It also explains the chemical breakdown of glucose and the difference between healthy and unhealthy sugars. Not really relevant to those wanting to avoid carbs I suppose but I lost 40 kg in two years eating carbs, proteins and fats but cutting out alcohol, sucrose and fructose other than small portions of fruit.
