  1. Limosine has a pretty big engine. He is only looking at new bikes because he WANTS one. And because he can
  2. I knew you would cave. Curiosity killed the GOG!
  3. Easy reading GOG, two days no problem. Don't epect A Thousand Years of Solitude, this isn't Booker material. It is fun, however, for someone like me who hasn't been immersed in the road cycling culture for long to learn about Riis, Hincapie and the others during those years. You have to get past Hamilton's bloated sense of worth and conviction that he had no choice but in the end its worth it.
  4. It's for when his wife kicks him off the tandem...
  5. Got the prices off the net, RRP not specials. Will have to see what the CAAD 10 Di2 lands for in SA but should be around R36000.00 I could build that CAAD for: Frame 8500, Di2 upgrade 13000, crank and brakes 5000, finishing kit 4500 leaving 5 k for wheels and neither of those bikes come with wheels worth more than 5k.
  6. Oh come on, you ARE biased. Probably the most biased on the hub! I'll let limousine test my CAAD, I know where he lives...
  7. This bike here:
  8. It can
  9. That itch will only get worse until you scratch. Our other club member who shall not be named has ordered his Di2 upgrade this morning. 13 k for all he needs.
  10. Well, actually, you can compare the two. Foil: $ 4829 Weight: 7.2 kg Ride: Harsh and stiff Advantages over CAAD: Aero CAAD: $ 3699 Weight: 7.5 kg Ride: Harsh and stiff Advantages over Foil: Price, BB30, Lifetime warranty. Foil will cost you an extra 7000 for a 300 gr weight saving which could easily be gained by spending that on wheels.
  11. Very light and very stiff alu!
  12. Check this out... www.roadbikeaction.com/tech%E2%80%93tech-features/content/67/3993/Cannondale-CAAD10.html
  13. You know you want the CAAD! You will have to special order the Di2 model through cannon dale club though.
  14. Pre ordered through Amazon with their "One Click" button and it popped up on my kindle yesterday. It's a good read. Not sure how much is true but I am enjoying it anyway.
  15. I found a 2011 CAAD 10 frame my size brand new, the all white one with black decals. Very, very pretty and shiny
  16. See you there!
  17. Lots and lots of climbing, there are no flat bits here, but not super technical. You could compare it to Sabie or Barberton 70 km. I'm hoping for a 5:30 so I'll be at the middle to back.
  18. Big time, one of my favourite rides! My MTB is a merida though... You doing the 80 km?
  19. Me too, just bought my first CAAD and now besotted with all things Dale.
  20. Thanks for a good start to my day!
  21. I ride the 420 and at 90kg I haven't broken anything yet, great wheels.
  22. CAAD 10 with 105. I like the CAAD so much I traded my carbon bike for one. It's as light and stiffer than any carbon bike in your budget.
  23. I enjoyed his interview the other day when the rude female journo suggested he was red in the face he said the only thing not red was his jersey. He is handling himself with decorum.
  24. Berto paid up. He didn't kick and squeal and stir up such a storm that its all anyone can get back to even in a Spanish race he isn't part of. I'm so bored of LA they should ban him for being annoying. I'm LA, in case you didn't know I won the tour seven time and my father is Mufasa!
