  2. Buggered if I know. Mech. Eng this side. Thermo was never my strong suite, nor chemistry.
  3. Cruds. Imagine that thing underneath the bridge at Witkoppen on the Spruit. I would crap myself!
  4. Absolute zero is in fact -273.15 deg C. The boiling point of He is -269 deg C which means it wont be in liquid form at atmospheric conditions. Probably flashed over and got a freezer burn... Just guessing here...
  5. Is that a polisher and a MRI machine? Crikey mate!
  6. Lego Dacta? Will have to look into it. Here is one for you. http://gavush.toplessrabbit.com/legos/reduction1.jpg http://gavush.toplessrabbit.com/legos/reduction2.jpg Reduction unit. It has 32 gears, 28 pulleys and 14 rubber bands. It has 29 ratios: eight 3:1, five 1.5:1, fourteen 4:1, and two 5:1. The total reduction is 4,015,547,461,140,480:1. I guess the Lego motor runs around 2000rpm. This means it would take 2,007,773,730,570.24 minutes for the last shaft to turn over once. That translates into 33,462,895,509.504 hours, or 1,394,287,312.896 days, which is 3819965.24 years, or 381996.52 decades. I imagine the plastic gears and shafts will have worn to nothing well before that.

  9. I have to say that playing with Lego's from an early age had a big influence on my career choice in later years.
  10. Remember that. Will have to watch it again tonight.
  11. Some pics for you, Caerus. Where were these Lego Technic sets when I was a laaite?!?! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3091/2606016693_abd8e3bd3a.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3025/2606845436_e910ed0c75.jpg http://gavush.toplessrabbit.com/legos/bike2.jpg
  12. Maybe he should ask his mate John Maynard Keynes for some pointers!
  13. True! best saved for the winter months though as it is very overgrown and muddy at the moment. Download a google earth map here: My link
  14. I see they did not even go through the trouble of mounting a hand pump. Suppose it is not worth the effort.
  15. Something to play with then:) http://web.archive.org/

  18. Easiest way to file it is take a cell phone snap and mail it to your gmail account if you have one...
  19. +1 on both. Bought a Fox fork & Redwin Race cassette from Kevin and not only were they cheaper than CRC on both but delivery was very fast. Hope Pro 2's and ZTR rims from CWC. Built and delivered within a couple of days and waaaay cheaper than everybody else - including CRC who coincidentally never has these items in stock. Sorry to hear about your misfortune though. You cant be at the top of your game all the time and it had to happen to somebody...
  20. So glad the future of mankind is not reliant on the couple of buggers who voted for single track. Probably mother nature at work, imprinting the need to procreate in the stronger specimens of the species leaving the weak to play on little footpaths thereby strengthening the gene pool
  21. ...but will you buy it for me?
