1. I've always been a big supporter of Solomons, going there tomorrow in fact..
2. Jeez, they dont make it easy for you.... Special votes: Municipal elections A special vote allows a registered voter, who can't vote at their voting station on election day, to apply to vote on a predetermined day before election day. For details on application requirements and casting a special vote, please see special votes. Do I qualify for a special vote? In addition to the standard application requirements (see special votes), you can apply if – you can’t travel to your voting station because you are physically infirm or disabled; oryou can’t vote at your voting station on election day. How do I apply? Download and complete Appendix 25, the application for special vote (Word version – 71 KB / PDF version – 34.9 KB).Between the dates specified in the election timetable, submit the application form in person (or via a proxy if you’re unable to travel) at the Municipal Electoral Office responsible for your voting district during office hours.
Please note: Application forms must be submitted by hand at the Municipal Electoral Office - they can’t be submitted online or via email or fax. You’ll be given a written decision on your application.
Please keep this document as proof of your application outcome. To qualify, you must be registered to vote in the voting district where you've requested the home visit. If you can travel but can’t vote at your voting station on election day, you will vote at your voting station on a predetermined day before election day. When do I vote? Dates for the casting of special votes (usually a day or two before election day) are predetermined and published in the election timetablefor a specific election. Election timetables are published after the election date has been proclaimed (officially announced and gazetted).

5. Now that is what a road ride should be like!!! Anything else and I'll stick to dirt.
6. My gramps-in-law (if there is such a thing) is quite heavily involved with the DA, he mentioned that there might be/is a special voting day on the Monday for people unable to vote on Wednesday. Don't quote me on this though...
7. So I see that our deal leader declared the 18th of May a voting day and a public holiday. The Adventure is on the 18th in Underberg. I'm registered to vote in JHB, driving down on the 16th already. Registration for the Race is on the 18th. Reckon that is probably around 6,000-10,000 votes (for the official opposition) lost if you include the friends, family, support staff and workers. Guess there is going to be no voting this year . Do you know if it is possible to do a special vote beforehand or something or the other?

11. I saw some cheaper colour coded replacements at Solomons Woodmead. Cant recall the manufacturer though... Aerizone, KMC, KCNC. Not too sure. Maybe none of the above.
12. +1 Rhyno will sommer fro you wiif the full tool kit , with extra tube , screws ,and clamp . Beware!
13. Groenkloof maybe?
14. I do my own servicing and replacements and only ask the LBS to do things which I don't have the tools for (and don't intend on buying the specific tools - like a pipe cutter for steerer tubes). I bought a brand new Fox F32 100 RL at great expense and took it to my LBS to have it shortened. Took the old shock and the new shock so that they can measure and cut accurately... No prizes for guessing what happened. They cut the new one shorter by 10mm. I only realised this when I got home and tried to fit everything together. No CTRL+Z on cut steerers. Balls!!! Not going back .

19. Take a chill pill bud. You can sell your stuff at 50% more than the other buggers - make that 64% to account for VAT. In fact you can (try and) sell your stuff at any price you want to! Not so sure if you are going to to get any takers though....

Buycycle

I placed a query with them earlier the week regarding a Fox shock which were coincidently the cheapest price around. Placed the order with them 2 days ago and it was delivered today by RAM. Also ordered a PG990 cassette (cheaper than CWC & CRC). Last year I placed an enquiry with them regarding a wheelset. Kevin promptly responded. I found the wheelset for cheaper at CWC though. From my side, nothing but excellent service from the guys. Keep up the good work!!!!
25. Nothing special you say.... Awesome bikes say I!
