  1. Yip. You just confirmed what I thought!. On your knock-off stance - whilst on honeymoon in Thailand I bought "diesel" jeans for R200 a pair fully aware of the fact that they are fakes. The quality on those buggers are top notch. I can not justify paying R2,500.00 for a product that I can get for R200. Ok, sure it does not bare the correct hologram image within the pant but the quality is faaar superior to any local products of even quadruple the price.
  2. +1. I have ordered a couple of things from CWC. I stay in GP and usually phone before placing my order to check availability. Super service!!! Only bike shop I support nowadays.
  3. Hell Edman. Now that is a reply I can appreciate. Thanks for all the interesting and relevant info. Rare to find a reply that answers the OP's topic based on sound product knowledge. Do you reckon that if you need to replace a bearing on a bike you can take it to Bearing Man and get a Timken / SKF rather than a "bike branded" bearing? The way I see it they (bike manufacturers) won't invest all their money on R&D if there is already a superior product on the market, manufactured by companies whose sole interest is bearings? Thanks again.
  4. Two weeks a bus cut a corner whilst I stopped at a t-junction. **** removed the right front end of my vehicle.
  5. It is as simple as that. Copy the <username> directory across to the same location on your laptop. I think then all you need to do is load the user. Something along those lines - I did it about 3 months ago.

  11. Yesterday morning this time I was still debating over which tyres to fit. Less than 24hrs later I have a brand new set of Continentals & a bottle of Stans on my desk in JHB. Well done yet again on your excellent service and ridiculously low prices!!!!
  12. Thanks for all the help. Seems the special is only on the 2.2's so that sorted out my indecision...
  13. I see CWC are selling some Conti's & Stan's combos at a rediculously low price... http://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/continental-mtb-tyre-combo-sealant Thinking of getting the 2.4 Mountain Kings up front and the 2.2 Race Kings at the rear. Would this be a good idea? My thinking is that it - the bigger tyre - would add more control and more responsive stearing. Not sure what effects the inertia of the bigger wheel would be... Any help/pointers or should I just go for 2.2 all round?
  14. Awesome! Thanks for sharing.

  20. Aaah... Honeymoon <sigh>... Missing those days...
  21. Went there for honeymoon two months ago (KL and Phuket). Had some alterior motives with regards to get some well deserved presents to self... Only found one shop in KL. Prices were more or less the same. I was hoping that at least Shimano would be cheaper there. Not worth the effort. European brands are expensive everwhere. No luck in Phuhet. Rather invest in some Singha beers, Tiger beers, scooter commuting, dirt cheap clothes and awesome food! Cycling on Raya Island
