  1. Nice vid. How do u manage to change gears with ur shifters being at such a angle?
  2. Hi guys and girls. I am looking for a good condition second hand 100x400mm sigma lens with stabilizer. Anyone know of someone looking to sell theirs? Pls let me know. Thanks
  3. So for a while now I have been wanting to service my own bikes. I have enough bikes that it costs a small fortune every time I take them in for service. Tried looking on the net and can't find anyone who can train me on this. Does anyone know of a place in Cape Town who can teach me the a-z of servicing mtb and road bikes?
  4. Hah. That's funny, Lost bike. Does it have a collar with the owners phone number on it? Take it to your LBS maybe it has a chip.
  5. They can use me, i will be up to the task. I'm a bubbly bugger and will make cycling sound like horse racing
  6. Hey Wez. Tour was awesome even with the top contendors out of it. Just trying to catch up on sleep again will be posting some picks up probably in next few days. I was going to skip next year but as usual, can't hold myself back. Bianchisti also seems interested so if we get enough people who are serious about it we can go ahead as i think doing it in a group will be great. So lets see who is interested and take it from there. We got to do bookings latest mid Jan.
  7. So just as a matter of interest, who would be interested in going to the 2013 TDF? Was thinking if enough interest is shown we could hire a van or get a bus to ride us around stage to stage. I won't say im a novice but have done enough running around between stages over the last few years to know my way around. Think it will be great if the hub guys and girls get together as a group and follow the tour? No? Yes?
  8. Will have to go with cav. sky lead out train will be too strong and Sky guys are on too much of a high not to win the stage.
  9. its myself and my fiance and we budgeted R1000 per day for entertainment, food and gifts etc and R700 per day on accomodation and R5000 for europcar The flghts were R16,000 so about R70,000 for 24 days. This is excluding the 10k i wanted to spend on deep sections which i couldnt find at any cycle shop in france. we very spoilt for choice in sa on cycling products. most cycle shops here sell crappy entry level stuff and charge alot for it so i guess crc will get a order from me when i get home next week. Getting back to TDF, if you slog it you can get away with probably 20k quite easily which includes airticket. Buying airtickets 8 months before and booking a motel/hotel saves alot of money as july is their annual holiday and booking a month or 2 before is wallet suicide.
  10. Make it a reality. Unbelievable. Problem is once it bites you its hard not to go every year. Luckily I'm in the financial position to not worry about a budget but it can easily be done on a limited budget. Lots of hostils on the routes or camps and trains go to most stages. U got to do this at least once in your life time.
  11. Blame it on the hub. Sent a email to them last month about the same thing and they never got back to me
  12. Another great TDF. Well done Wiggy and Sky. To those of you calling it boring then you need to make the trip to watch it live. Has never been boring to me. Just tomorrow left then back to SA after following tour around France. I'm absolutely buggered and fat, need another month just to recover. Had a ball though as always.
  13. Dont they put on a big markup so when you ask for discount it seems like a good deal but you still paying same price or more than every where else?
  14. SAY WHAT NOW????
  15. Even the commentators here in France during live transmition can't believe Froome waiting for Wiggy. Anyway, what's done is done but in my personal opinion, I wouldn't want to be Wiggy going through life or being on the podium knowing , I wasn't the strongest rider during the tour and probably shouldn't have won it
  16. he will need gummy berry juice or asterix potion to make any difference now
  17. Should be a good day tomorrow. I was on Col d'Aspin this morning and is relatively easy till 3km in then it kicks nicely. Potential attack here would be good I think.
  18. SAY IT ISNT SO FRANK!!!!
  19. Well done sky for not attacking when evans had a mechanical and his team was not around to back him up. Give that team a bells and give Rolland a klap.
  20. Good one
  21. Probably have air in the system. Bleeding will be the answer. From pistons to the top off on brake lever will work.
  22. Sorry, didn't mean it ugly just seems may the best man win and why not? Happens in most sports. Even Europcar allows it so why not let Froome win? Cs they scared Wiggy will throw his toys out the cot probably. I'm sure come the stage he drops Wiggy again, things may happen differently for sky. I would be a bit upset putting in all the effort just to sit back and say I could win this but...
  23. Think, think again then speak.
  24. Game set & match Wiggins. Froome strongest rider of the tour so far. Had Froome be given fair play, he would be in yellow right now.
