  1. Spend a few months a year in Europe but from next year I will be permanently in Germany and will def use your services. Nothing like a braai and talking bike around the fire
  2. There is a dedicated "block" we are allowed to shoot from from and is tightly controlled by the technical director of each tour at each stage and we can get fined if we put a foot outside that block, riders know it aswell. If she tagged a photog then its the riders fault plain and simple
  3. Going up for sale probably next week. 56cm full Ultegra carbon sti with Rotor crank + 50mm deep section wheels R26k or 19k with Oval 35mm wheels. Still in showroom condition
  4. For those of you who had a legitimate excuse not to make it, hope to see you next year. For those just too lazy or had "something better to do" for that hour other than helping the less fortunate...you all need a swift kick in the manhood region. Was a great morning spent with the hubbers who did make a effort to come. It gives me great pleasure to do this every year. I often give to charity via internet banking but its something else when you do it face to face, very humbling
  5. Dude how old are you? Thought you were in your 30`s when I met you.
  6. Oooh I can see organisers getting upset here!
  7. I can't tell you the true figure(its not for me to say) but it is a few Mil. Well worth it for the exposure. Christie in all honesty mtb exposure isn't any better. Ever looked around and saw its mostly the riders family waiting at the finish...those are not people coming from their houses to look. Malcolm and co did a good job last year to get people on to the street to support mzansi stages
  8. Where is the old days of taking it to the parking lot and letting rip without anybody 'outside" getting involved? The looser gets in his car and goes home and that's the end of it.
  9. Would be really sad to loose another SA pro tour but I'm sure Jen and Tanya are doing their best to secure another sponsor. Bees are you offering :-)
  10. He always picks up "weight" at this time of the year and then drops it in a matter of weeks and by the time a grand tour comes up he drops even further in a matter of days
  11. looks like my kit after stage 2 of the Epic
  12. WOW!! Final destination is going to want that guy BAD!

    The Munga 2015

That rock must have been nice and cozy!
  14. Nah! Our local DA Council actually listen to us here in Slaapstad.
  15. I have had my selection of high-end bikes but when I got on to my Fuji for the first time I knew it was something special. Def most responsive bike I have ridden and just looks sooooo damn good. Next month is time to upgrade after 2 years and yip you guessed it, Fuji again. No matter where I ride someone always mentions what a good looking bike it is...if only the rider was as good looking
  16. If you were wanting to let a bull loose in a China shop with regards to 29er vs 26...you succeeded! Personally coming from a 26, I love my 29er and would never go back. I have always been a Shimano fan all my life so its XT for me. Being new to mtb I would say spend your money on a good 2nd hand bike and make sure you enjoy the sport and once you have the feel for it and fitness then go crazy and buy the expensive stuff. Email guys from Upshift_Cycles, they on the hub. They deal in selling and buying mid to top range used bikes. Can probably help out with any questions
  17. True as with most brands lately. I'm just old school and purist when it comes to Italian bikes. To me feels like someone putting a ford engine in to a Ferrari. But getting back to the subject on hand. The driver at my wife's office owns a carbon Marida bought by the company to help him with his sport and also uses it to work. If I didn't know that I would also wonder how this guy can afford it so you can't judge a book by its cover
  18. A Pina with Japanese components... the ultimate insult
  19. Not exactly 2 wheels but pretty excited about the new wheels. At least I can leave a little later for races
  20. Such terrible news. Ride there pretty often. I often think to myself how many times can I dodge the bullet till it happens to me? For 20 odd years I have been relatively unscathed. How many times have I had close calls without even being aware? Flippen sad man! Can't help but picture those poor kids being called out of class to hear the news their father is no longer alive. Sh!t so many people effected today by one persons action. RIP Johann & condolences to the family
