  2. Thanks Werner, Appreciate the advice. I am still not sure Flow or DTSwiss?
  3. I was thinking, white rims, red nipples and red hope hubs?
  4. Some advice please. I am thinking of upgrading my existing black DTswiss rims to either Stans ZTR flow rims or DTSwiss XR400 white rims. I have a red and white specialized. Are white rims practical? Do they look too porno?
  5. Hey flymango, Thanks for the advice, I am probably not patient enough. Good luck with the recovery.
  6. Hey that's hectic, but you perservered and that shows charcter. Good luck and Don't even think of quitting....Ever...
  7. Has anyone had microfracture surgery on thier knee? This is where small holes are drilled into the bone to stimulate cartlidge growth. Any realistic idea's on recovery times. do's and dont's etc..... I had the surgery about a week and a half ago and was told that I should be able to walk within a few days and should be able to start light cycling by the end of August. After doing a little bit of research on post op recovery, I should be on crutches for 2 - 6 weeks, no driving and recovery is between 6 and 12 months. Please say it isn't so
  8. Now thats the kind of story we all like to hear. Well done Omnico and Epic Sports!!!! I have had several dealings with Omnico and they are brilliant. Glad you got sorted out.
  9. I hear the new A-Team and Karate Kid movies will be released shortly. I wonder if they are going to make onto this list too.
  10. My Kenda Excavators work a treat, dont like the thick sludge though. I hear the Kenda John Tomac King of Traction are pretty good for the sticky stuff. The Kenda Navegal is a awesome all round tyre.
  11. I Agree with BeOne, don't underestimate a good sports physio. I did some damage to my right knee last saturday at a multisport event. It was almost double the size of my left knee, and I could barely walk. Been for physio twice and I cant believe the diffrence. (hoping to start light riding sessions next week) I am not so keen on Doctors as a first option, they always seem to want to start cutting...
  12. I remember all the online petitions pleading his innocense, all the TV interviews slamming the TDF and UCI. Besides the Statute of limitations you have to question his timing, just before the TDF. What a waste, Floyd you dumb ****!!!
  13. lol, welcome back, hope it didn't take you three years.
  14. Had to switch the sound off. I could't bear listening to the clueless yank any longer.
  15. Darn, I ordered the Buzzrunner 3 on thursday. Looks good value for money and competition to Thule. Also has a 5 year guarantee.
  16. I was very impressed, good attitude, good service... Thanks again.
  17. Ok, time to eat some humble pie. Firstly a BIG thank you to Lance from Omnico for sorting this out The LBS contacted the rep and not Omnico as we were thought, the rep did not place the order immediatly as he was probably getting dozens of similar requests. So Lance I salute you, thaks for comming through with a plan B and to Omnico for the Great specials. Please accept my apologies.... Airborne2010-05-12 05:20:13
  18. And today the site www.obike.co.za is down for "maintenance". Mails sent to them keep bouncing, perhaps they will respond to the fax sent.
  19. Thanks to a posting on the hub, a mate of mine decides to buy two bikes as listed on the Omnico website that were on special. One was a GT sanction 2 and the other a GT iDrive 5. So first thing yesterday morning we are at our LBS, who as Mongoose and GT resellers were aware of the special... so far so good. My Mate asks them to phone the supplier - Omnico (While we are there) to check stock and they confirm that both bike are available and are the correct size, the LBS asks them to please reserve the bikes and we weretold it will take roughly three days for delivery, my mate is extactic pressy for the wife etc... So far so good... An hour later he gets a call "sorry there is no stock available" WTF....... Why confirm that the bikes were reserved and that stock was available!!! Airborne2010-05-12 05:05:09
