  1. So I have decided to fit a Truvative X Guide chain guide to my Morewood Shova. http://www.sram.com/...ruvativ-x-guide I will however have to drop my big blade, so i have decided on 24 and 38 chain rings with a 11:34 cassette. I am looking for a multi purpose setup, the bike was bought for gravity enduros and free ride but since I am selling my Zula I will be using it for XC as well. Anyone else running a similar setup?, any advice or suggestions?
  2. The last one was awesome, I hope these start becoming regular events.
  3. Those 661 knee guards are awesome, roll on payday....
  4. Sweet, thanks , some really cool stuff that no one else is stocking online.
  5. Victor Momsen
  6. Oops, did not see your last post. Hope you have many happy miles
  7. What distances are you looking at?
  8. This looks like its going to be awesome, already registered. See you there!!
  9. My wife's Zula comes in at just over 12.5Kg's with Carbon Crank, 100mm Fox, hayes carbon brakes, AC wheels with Hope 2 hubs. Mine comes in at about 13.5 with 120mm fork, XT crank and mostly deore products. Both are running kenda Nevegal tubeless.
  10. My wife and I did the Notties - Himeville 100 last weekend, I rode with 32GI Accelerate in our Camelbak's and two PowerBar performance energy bars for nutrition. I really liked them, palatable and IMHO better than the USN bars, I have already started stocking up for SANI2C I am keen to try the Powerbar gels, absolutely hated the USN Grapefruit ones.
  11. Anyone riding a Morewood Shova ST 2x9 with a chain guide?
  12. Greg Minaar Racing in PMB. I have taken the time over the years to build a good relationship with their entire team. This is not to say they are perfect, but they are a family store with family values who could care less about the size of my wallet. They are always happy to see me and always have time for a chat.
  13. +1, spot on, I could not agree more. I only support one lbs where I live, when I walk in I fell like Norm from Cheers (For those who remember Cheers)
  14. You can place an order by mailing them on: info@pygaindustries.com http://www.pygaindustries.com/ if for some reason you cant get hold of them, let me know I have alternate contact details.
  15. Placed my pre order for the OneTen29 on tuesday .
  16. I had a chat to Patrick at the World Cup, also took the OneTen29 for a test ride. Its an awesome super stiff, responsive bike, it somehow keeps all the good attributes of the 26er. For me its a no brainer, as much as I love my Zula, its time....... By the way look out for a full review in the April edition of Bicycle magazine.
  17. Got a chance to take Patrick Morewood's new PYGA 29er for a ride today, damn its really impressive. The handling is sublime and its super responsive. Look out for it in the next edition of Bicycling Magazine!!!!
  18. No, wish they did, only the top 80 men who Qualified today get to ride on Sunday.
  19. Yeah, she ripped the course.
  20. Spent the afternoon at the new extended table tops. It was great to run into a couple of Hubbers from Cape Town , the hub flags are flying high here in PMB. Tracey Hannah (Morewood) kicked ass and deserved her number one spot. Greg made it look all too easy clearing both table tops with ease, and looked like a man possessed, qualifying in the number one spot. A bit of rain here in PMB at the moment, but all should be good for the XC tomorrow (Go Burry) The atmosphere here in PMB is electric, guys like Nick Floros (XC course designer) and Nigel Hicks (DH Course designer) delivered on an amazing course that is spectator friendly and challenging enough for the best in the world. Makes me proud to be from Maritzbrugh and South African. Good Luck to all the saffers tomorrow. A special mention to Travis Browning, an awesome DH rider and all round nice guy who had an unfortunate fall today and missed qualifying for tomorrow. Dude hang in there, your time will come, your talents speak for themselves. If you get the opportunity get yourself to Cascades in PMB and enjoy our Midlands hospitality and a opportunity to see the best XC and DH riders in the World.
  21. About that....., they are still trying to launch their 2012 bikes, the website is out dated etc etc...
  22. I do indeed, had a look they are awesome, they have a couple of demo's at the World Cup in PMB, just wish they would go on sale already...........
  23. Could not agree more, that's why I went for the Zula.
  24. Thanks for the feedback guys, the I have looked at the Giant, also good value for money. Still trying to decide if i should sell my trusty Morewood Zulu for a 29er.
  25. @ 13KG its not bad, I am currently riding a 13KG bike, so not fussed about the weight.
